Amazing place - just spectacular! We stayed at the Sheraton on the Argentine side and had a great view of the falls and a Toucan (a rare sight thanks to the helicopters!).

Take the tour through the jungle to the river and get one of the boats to the base of the falls - it's just amazing to see them that way and you get a lovely walk back. Don't cover up - just soak up the water - you'll get soaked but it feels amazing...maid of the mist has nothing on this!

Popped over to Brazil for the day - hired a driver which was pretty good value and gave us loads of time to explore.

Iguazu is a must see....can;t wait to take my little girl when she's old enough, just hope it doesn't get any more commercial and suffer the way Niagara has.

What an amazing place... It is well worth making sure you see the falls on both the Argentine side and the Brazilian side. There is loads to do and see. Everytime you move the falls look different.

We spent five days near Iguazu Falls at Jungle Lodge which is a fantastic place--small with the jungle and river behind our lodge and a deck to sit there and watch the butterflys go by. Just beautiful. We got a guide Lucas Antuna who was fabulous. First, we told him we wanted to speak Spanish most of the time and he did so. He met us at the airport, took us to lunch and then we went into the park and went on the Macuco Trail to a wonderful waterfall where we could go swimming and be under the waterfall. What a way to start our time. He took us to unusual places that we would have not gone alone. He was fun, interesting and gave us a real sense of the place and animals.
He was the one who suggested and got us the reservation at the jungle lodge. He took us to Paraguay to see incredible forests and some fascinating places. And you must have him take you to the Paque de las Aves.

We rarely do tours. We decided to get a guide to see more and Lucas fAntuna ulfilled our wildest expectations. The trip we took to Paraguay was spectacular. We were sorry our time was over. I know he had many more fabulous places to show us in and outside the park. I highly recommend spending time with Lucas Antuna.

And Iguazu Falls is spectacular...I would go back.

I visited Iguazu Falls mid November 2007 with my husband and friends. We all stayed overnight at the Sheraton Hotel, the only hotel on the Argentinian side, right on the park grounds. That would be the only reason to stay there because the place desperately needs updating. We were nevertheless glad that we stayed overnight because on our first day there, it rained consistently, detracting from the wonderful views of the falls. We walked along the excellent suspended paths, getting soaking wet, but still enjoyed a unique experience and vista.

But it was on the following day when the sun was shining that I truly got to enjoy the beautiful scenery in all its splendor. I counted about 12 enormous rainbows! Indeed, an incredible sight.

I strongly recommend going to Iguazu...Make sure to go to the Brazilian side where you'll get an even better, truly awe-inspiring panorama.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the falls. Take the time to hike out to the island...it was our highlight. Every fall, every viewpoint,
every minute proved to be priceless. I am so glad we did BOTH the Brazilian and Argentinean sides of Iguazu.
