Stayed here last year but have finally gotten round to writing a review. The Secret Garden is a lovely little place to stay when visiting the area for the water falls – because let’s be honest there is not a huge lot else to do. This is true of the area around the B&B because it is very quiet but the area between the rooms and the owner’s home is laid out like a forest with wooden walkways and it turns “quiet” into “peaceful”.
The owner John is charming and friendly, making you feel very welcomed and looked after. Those who dislike “other people” should be warned that it is hard not to mix with the other guests, but the relaxed air made this enjoyable even for an antisocial type like myself. Logistics are made very easy as well, with John organising taxis etc for short trips or round trips across the border into Brazil.
A really cool little place then. An intimate and relaxed air that feels more like staying with friends than just finding somewhere to sleep and eat while visiting the falls.
