“Different but Nice”

Phoenix Zoo

Unlike many City zoos, this zoo is located away from skyscrapers and cars. Though this zoo is smaller than the Denver Zoo, it is very open
and doesn't give a feeling of encagement. The entrance was beautiful.
The weather can get very hot, I would recommend bringing your own water. The fountain water in the zoo tastes disgusting.

“Great Zoo”

This zoo was pretty fun. I enjoyed it a lot. I absolutely love going to Zoos. As far as zoos go it was pretty average, but not terrible.

We got in for 50% off because my parents are members of the local zoo in Battle Creek, MI. It was fairly cheap to go. We went with a group of 4.

The food, as at all zoos, was very expensive. We didn't end up eatting there because it didnt take us all day.

Since we were there Between Christmas and New Years it was fairly chilly. It wasnt very busy at all. We wanted to get hot chocolate but it was too expensive.

We got to see all the typical animals that you see at zoos, except they had a lot more snakes. A lot of rattle snakes.

We also got to see the mountains. Which is quite different from our zoo at home. They were making a new viewing platform so you could feed the giraffes, but it was just beginning when we were there.

The rhinos were awesome, the tigers were awesome. The lion seemed sick. They had cyotes there too which we dont see often at the zoo.

Overall, a great trip. Id probably go back if I was in the area.

“Christmas at the Zoo”

Took my nephews, 5, & 6 here the day before Xmas. What a treat! Easy walking for young little legs and though it ends up being MILES before you finish, it doesn't feel too strenous for we grownups either. The only exception is the trail habitat containing the Mountain Goats (but you'd expect that wouldn't you?)

Animals are all easily seen, the rhinos are great, put on quite show playing in their habitat with logs and rings hanging from trees. Actually, all the animals seemed quite comfortable, there was no pacing or staring as you find at other zoos.

Nice selection of animals, zoo employees very knowledgable when asked questions.

Food was reasonably priced and a good selection.

I've visited a lot of Zoos with children, mine and others. The measuring stick of success is held by the kids. The Phoenix Zoo had them chattering all 5 hours of the visit and fast alseep before we left the parking lot at the end of the day. Great Zoo!

“Best zoo Ever”

Coming from Edinburgh and having our own zoo this was just fantastic, the animals were so well looked after in fabulous conditions, they have the freedom to roam about. This attraction was not over priced and certainly was well worth the money. This is one place that if you are in Phoenix them it is a must 10/10.

“Nice!”

Phoenix Zoo

Nice zoo with lots of animals (I loved all the big cats it has: Jaguar, Mt. Lion, Bobcat, African Lion, Cheetah, Tiger, oh my!). The only downside for me was that there were a lot of times when you had to walk through pathways that had no animals at all; these areas were nice and had little themes to them and maybe on a cooler day they would have been pleasant, but on a hot summer day I would have preferred a set up like the Tucson zoo, which is smaller but has animals everywhere you look! Other than that I really liked this zoo!
