I spent the same for 2 nights in this motel as I did for 1 night in Sedona and the room was essentially the same. The pool was even open in this motel!
The room was clean, the beds comfortable, the shower pressure good. The coffee pot took a little while to figure out, but it worked fine. The location was north of Phoenix, which was great for our purposes. We were coming down from the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The front desk was very friendly.
The morning breakfast was ok. There was sausages, boiled eggs, cereal, apples/oranges, juice and bread for toast. Watch that toaster! It burned someone's bread one morning and the whole room was full of smoke.
There's one computer in the lobby for free guest internet use, so I was able to print off my boarding passes on check out day.
I think this motel is hit or miss. While I was on the computer, a gentleman was checking out with numerous issues: his heat, telephone and plumbing didn't work.

“Clean bedspreads & easy unloading”

We stayed at this hotel because we saw it from the freeway, but we definately plan on staying there again on road trips through AZ. It's an old school type layout, so you can park the car really close to your room instead of hiking endless internal corridors to get to your room.

The rooms were average size, but clean and seemed newly painted. Unlike many hotels that use bedspeads for a month between washing them - all of the bedding was fresh and clean. The front desk and the maids said all of the bedding is washed completely between every guest (Whew!).

The pool was big for a little hotel and it was heated so we could swim in February, which our kids loved. This place was easy to get in and out of and it was clean.

“Not that bad”

If you're looking for bells and whistles, this is not your place. We stayed in a nonsmoking room and it was fine. I will note that our friends were in a smoking room and you could definitely tell. But, what do you expect? Our room was clean, but outdated, and the bathroom was very small. However, we weren't in the room much so it wasn't bad. The pool area was nice and clean. The fuse in our room kept blowing and we constantly lost power to the fridge but we lived with it. The continental breakfast was quite nice, and I found the front desk personnel nice as well. For the price, I was very satisfied.

“Not impressed”

This is absolutely not a top 20 hotel in the Phoenix area in my opinion... I've stayed at about 12 different Arizona hotels since June due to my job, and this is probably one of the two hotels I'd rank last... The room smelled somewhat musty and moldy, and the external hallways in the vicinity of my room were in disrepair with large gaps, and insulation and nails, being visible from the ceiling... I can't figure out how this hotel could get a top 20 ranking in the Phoenix area, unless certain of the previous reviews are bogus... I think this is a medium level economy hotel, and worthy of a medium level ranking of all Phoenix hotels.... It could definitely be worse, but it certainly is no better than average, so how it managed a top 20 ranking in Phoenix is beyond me. and at least in my opinion, the top 20 ranking is extremely misleading....

Although I was disappointed with the physical accomodations, I do want to say that the young ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly and accomodating, and I found no fault with them..
