“A Huge Disappointment”

Inn on Oak Creek

We stayed in the Arbor Room which is more like a closet. The inn is literally a few feet from a noisy highway which, alas, can't be seen in any hotel photos. The furniture was sparse and uncomfortable. Anything you wanted to refrigerate had to be put in a hallway fridge. The breakfast was the only thing half-way decent. And, the place was very clean. For $250 a night there are a lot better choices.

“Loved the Inn....”

We had a great experience staying here and will definitely return. It is a beautiful, clean, well kept inn with friendly staff. I believe we stayed in a room called the Rose Arbor. It had a great fireplace, huge hot tub for two and a balcony with fantastic views of Oak Creek and red rocks. The only downsides to the room that I can think of were slightly noisey traffic (worth it due to the great views/location), the room was very clean but they accidentally left one dirty pillow on the bed...had many hairs on it...gross, and you must keep the blinds over the hot tub closed because a stairway is right there (otherwise it would have had a great view to enjoy).

The breakfast was phenomenal but there is not enough seating inside for everyone during cold days. Otherwise, they have seating on the outdoor patio overlooking the creek. We were able to experience both and it was very nice! I thought it was kind of silly that they wasted a whole table by placing a water pitcher and glasses on it while we sat on the coach for a half hour waiting for a table to clear. It would have been nice had they moved the items to a utility cart where they belong and let waiting customers use it, especially when we paid $300 a night. That was the only unpleasant experience I could think of.

If you stay here, walk out back and enjoy the creek views and ducks. The staff was wonderful when it came to helping us with reservations at restaurants and also a vortex tour. They have a huge basket filled with menus from all of the local restaurants and they will help make recommendations. Overall we had a great (but very expensive) experience. I do think the rooms are a little too pricey for what you get, but I guess for special occasions it is ok. If the rates were lower, we would return much more often.

“A relaxing, serene B&B with all the amenities”

Inn on Oak Creek

The Inn at Oak Creek is exactly as described. It is a former art gallery that underwent extensive renovations to become a B & B nestled on the bank of Oak Creek. The location is quiet and the views are beautiful. It is a short walk to Tlaquepaque Village and not far from Hwy 89 and downtown Sedona.
Several of the rooms are located on the backside of the building, facing the creek. They have private balconies where you can watch the ducks swimming in the creek.
Our room had a fireplace and 2-person jetted tub -- the perfect set up for our anniversary celebration.
The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The only issue we had was the first evening -- the second A/C unit was waiting to be repaired (part on order), so the separate room controls did not work. Late in the evening, someone had turned the thermostat to the lowest setting. By 4 a.m our room was an ice box. This issue was remedied and the rest of our stay was comfortable.
Each day we were treated to a hearty breakfast on the patio, consisting of: the Inn's granola on yogurt followed by a fresh fruit smoothie, baked goods and a warm dish (the broccoli cheese quiche was divine). All this while humming-birds are flying by!
In the afternoon there are always freshly baked cookies on the table and plenty of refreshments.
Between 5-6, hors d'oeuvres are served. It's a great time to bring a bottle of wine and meet some of the other people staying at the inn. Here are some of the goodies we sampled: Delicious Jalapenos stuffed with chicken & strawberries stuffed with ricotta on a bed of coconut, homemade salsa & chips/ pita stuffed with spinach & cheese. You will not go hungry during your stay. In fact, you will need to go for a good hike each day to work off breakfast!
The innkeepers: Letty, Christine and Pam are great resources for planning local activities. They will help you book your Pink Jeep tour and make local dinner reservations. They are tour guides, restaurant critics and concierage all rolled into one!
I can't wait to return to enjoy their new cooking school.

“Beautiful Inn and Area”

We absolutely loved the Inn at Oak Creek and Sedona. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. The only drawback was the busy road it is on, although our room (Angler's) was in the back overlooking the creek and there was no noise. Take the pink jeep tour.

My wife and I spent two nights in the Garden Gate room and cannot wait to get back there. We were greeted on Friday afternoon by the super friendly Pam who gave us a great tour of our room and all the amenities of the Inn. She was very helpful to us as well as the other guests on where to eat and made reservations to avoid any lines. She also arranged for the Pink Jeep tour ( a must) for a Sunday morning and for us to be picked up at the Inn’s front door.
Our room had a great view of Oak Creek/Red Rocks (see photo), a fireplace and a two person Jacuzzi. The breakfasts were excellent and served at a relaxing pace on the large deck overlooking the Creek. You ate watching ducks cruising up and down the waterway as well as hummingbirds eating from the feeders nearby.
Breakfast was a great place to meet people and get hints on different things to see in the area as well as best times/ways to get there.
The Inn has a computer/printer with free internet access as well as a TV in each room but with what is just outside your window/deck you won’t want to turn it on.
You can walk to Tlaquepaque where there are many different great art galleries as well as some great restaurants. Don’t miss Oak Creek Brewery & Grill, great food/service and microbrews.
You are two minutes (by car) from all the other shops in “Downtown” Sedona on RT 89A.
Do not miss the Grand Canyon while in the area, the drive up 89A is amazing. It is a long day but you can do the drive and be back to the Inn by 11PM. Watching the sunset on Sedona’s Airport Road is another thing not to miss.
The Inn on Oak Creek is a great central location to truly experience Sedona, bring lots of film or memory on your digital camera!
