The good: food, scenery, treatments, accommodations

The bad: poor customer service (incompetent, but not nasty). And not the spa services people, but the front desk, room service, maintenance people, etc. For what it costs, things should run like clockwork, and things like the valet giving us someone else's car keys shouldn't happen. Thank God we discovered the error before we had to leave for the airport!

Enchantment Lodge Sedona is really close to heaven.

Only the restaurant could be a bit better .

I had been wanting to visit Sedona. Not knowing all that much of the area I clicked on Tripadvisor, to see what I could find out about it. WOW! After reading some reviews we chose this resort. We were enchanted with everything about the resort. The food was wonderful. My husband likes a big breakfast and every morning he had the banana cream filled french toast encrusted with pecans(?) I feasted on the berries!!!! Dinner was as wonderful. You could dine outside as we did, or eat in. The room was wonderful! All the time you are looking out at the red rocks as if you could reach out and touch them with your hand. I must not forget to mention the rock formation named Kachina Woman who watches over the valley. If you want to experiance Sedona and the red rocks and you are not a hiker, this is a great place to stay. The red rocks are at your feet, the Spa is right there, and they have a nice trail or two that you can walk around and get the feeling of hiking!!! I guess I better stop here, because you just have to see it for yourself!! Did I mention the resort was wonderful and we had a wonderful 20th anniversary?

This is by far the best place to stay in the Sedona area. The location is simply stunning -- truly one of the most breathtaking locations in the world. There are several great hikes just off the hotel property. The sunset from the restaurant/ bar's terrace is not to be missed. Food was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful (although maid service was slow -- our room wasn't cleaned until late afternoon.) Room was fine, not out of this world. We stayed in a junior suite, which was nicely decorated and had a fantastic, Four Seasons style bathroom, but the room itself was long and narrow and quite dark. The layout of the room did not take advantage of the spectacular view, and felt claustrophobic. Spa was beautiful but expensive, and seemed a bit understaffed.
