I stayed at Casa Marina Reef from 7th May till 22 May
How I wish it was longer. This was our 4th trip to the Reef and
we are returning Next year for our 25th wedding anniversary.
To me it offers everything I need. The staff are very good, hardworking and always ready with a smile. The food is really good. You can be as relaxed as you wish or as active as you like.

Just returned from 1 week stay in the Casa Marina Reef hotel. I would advise getting your own taxi (air conditioned) from the airport instead of transfers as it only costs $20.00 (£10.00) and we got to the hotel and hour and a half before others on the bus the taxi ride is approx 10/15 mins. Reception staff very professional our room had been overlooked and they had a room ready (seaview) within 40 minutes. Rooms clean fresh and in good condition. The grounds are so well kept the staff are forever sweeping leaves up, washing and bleaching floors etc.. this is such a clean resort!! Staff friendly, food great, the drink a little weak but when your drinking all day its probably for the better. Plenty of activities during the day if you want to get involved but if you like me and just want to chill u can lounge around in the jacuzzies on the sea front whilst getting waited on by your partner :0). I found the locals very friendly and they do not 'take over' the resort on weekends as others have stated, in fact i did'nt notice any change in clientel at all, i was slightly worried with some previous reports of 'local hookers' coming in at weekends but i did'nt see anything and believe me if they did i would be the first to notice!! On the return journey i would advise booking into the sky lounge $25.00 (£12.50 pp) but it's airconditioned (unlike the rest of the airport) and you get 4 drink's each and snacks (crisps and sandwiches). limited places available so u have to book early.

3 lads on holiday from manchester, random place to go but we wanted a chill out, got there after a few arguments on the plane haha. found room easily, slept the first night was late, woke up had a mooch around, massive complex, staff not as friendly as we expected tho, then again, considering thier shifts i wouldnt be 2 happy all the time!
food i thought was really good, especially when u consider how much we paid for the whole holiday (2 weeks) booked ourselfves in a few restaurants, seemed to go the fish one the most i wasnt mad keen but it did the job!
Read a few on here about the drinks being weak, and from my own experience people saying this must be big drinkers, infact massive, the glasses were 3/4 rum/vodka etc, then a little sprite so who could complain!
all inc stopped at 11 which we thought would be a problem but drinks can be bought at the bars till pretty early, the nightclub was a good laugh,
all in all great place to go away even if your 19 yr olds like us, hot country, imagine even hotter in june/ july, go enjoy it!!

just come back from casa marina reef, 20 may 2008, we had a lovely holiday the hotel could do with a face lift, but as we were leaving they were starting to paint the outside of hotel. the rooms are basic but very clean, maids came in every day and cleaned and fresh towels daily they provided soap, shampoo and conditioner and replaced it if you have used it. there is tv in the rooms with about 90 channels and showed all the sport from back home including the football. the food is nice in the buffets with quite a good choice of different foods so you should be able to find something you like, and they vary the menu daily, there is also a snack food buffet serving chips, burgers, pizzas chicken etc and a seafood, a mexican and an italian resterant to choose from, they provide clean beach towels daily.the pools are clean and not to crowded with plenty of sun beds the same for the 2 beachs.good entertainment in the evenings and games by the pool or on the beach.we would recommend this hotel to anyone
