We came here to avoid xmas in LA--only could book 2 nights as apparently lots of people do the same thing!! Chloe apparently makes dinner for the guests, she was cooking when we left this am, it smelled great!
Rooms are super minimalist-- no TV, no shampo/conditioner- but big bed, heater, robes, books and mags, cd player, and the lovely heated natural spring pools-- there are three ranging from a swimmable one to a very hot jaccuzzi.
I would have liked a room with a kitchenette as am vegan but we just ate at Native Foods in Palm Springs both nights- love their food. Breakfast was very nice-- breads, muffins, fruit, Nutella, coffee, tea. Guest seeemd 30 something couples, friendly, artsy, laid back. Had two treatments from Annaka, who is great-- Swedish ex model, very friendly and while the spa itself is hardly luxurious, her energy is great and the end results--relaxation, soft skin, zenned out brain-- totally worth it. I only wish they had some rooms with two beds--even two twins as opposed to the king-- my husband had a bad cold and he wanted to sleep elsewhere so as not to infect me and keep me up all night.
Overall, if you are looking for luxury, go to the Viceroy, but if you are looing for a quiet escape, pack your shampoo and hairdryer and head to Hope Springs!!
