“A feast for the senses...”

El Morocco Inn & Spa

5 of 5 stars
Torrance

Love at first sight.

Both myself and my wife were thrilled the moment we entered this hide-away. Sensuous smells of exotic spices greeted us, peacock feathers and veiled entry ways teased our eyes and the attentive care of our gracious hosts calmed our city nerves. Within hours of arriving we were already planning our next stay.

For you guys out there...SURPRISE YOUR LADY...make the reservation and tell your gal you are whisking her away but don't tell her where. I promise that if you surprise her with this place you will earn points for years to come. This is a sure fire, impress your gal, and never have to apologize for anything kind of place that she will love. It is geared to the romantic side and caters to the things our gals dream about. You will be her hero and lover for bringing her to this oasis.

“Can't wait to go back!”

El Morocco Inn & Spa

5 of 5 stars
Phoenix, AZ
Apr 5, 2008

From the moment Nicoleta opened the door to the moment Steve hugged us goodbye at our car, we felt as if we were in paradise. We had a thorough tour before we even grabbed our bags. We weren't bombarded with questions about who we were and where we had come from. We felt as if the entire experience was created just for us--right down to the cookies available 24 hours! We enjoyed our stay during the week (Sunday-Wednesday) so the inn was not full--therefore, we were able to spend time with 3-4 other couples, but had plenty of privacy to read for hours on the poolside covered couches! We looked forward to happy hour and Morocco-tinis each night as Nicoleta, Steve, and Bruce told us stories of how the inn came to be and we chatted with other guests. A pleasant surprise was that we were able to order lunch each day for reasonable prices straight from the inn. Who wouldn't want a poolside salad or burger after the fabulous breakfast spread? Dinner in town was fun--Desert Hot Springs isn't a thriving metropolis but the food was tasty, fresh, and the people were friendly. Did I mention the bed chambers? It was honestly a struggle each day to decide whether or not to stay in bed and enjoy the fabulous room or to get out and partake in a tasty, fresh breakfast!!! Would we go back? Tomorrow.

“best service ever”

El Morocco Inn & Spa

5 of 5 stars
Scotts Valley, California

Everything everybody else has said is all true, but for us, the thing that was so outstanding was the service. From the moment you enter and Bruce gives you the "tour", you honestly feel like they really want you to make yourself at home. Yes, it was all very kitchy, but in a totally good way. All the little decor touches were amusing and interesting. The breakfast buffet had every carb you could imagine, and the absolute best fruit, including dates, kiwis, fabulous pineapple, and soy milk. The "morocotinnis" at happy hour were delicious and free flowing. There were snacks, movies, and pool/hottub available 24/7. But Bruce and Steve just really made every guest feel totally special. The bed was too soft for me, so they immediately removed the foam pad and asked if I had a better night's sleep.(I did, but this place is made for romance more than sleep). It was just the best, most relaxing place I've ever been, and even tho' it was a little pricey for us, it was well worth it.

“Fantastic vacation in Desert Hot Springs”

El Morocco Inn & Spa

5 of 5 stars
Provincetown, Massachusetts
Mar 24, 2008

Decided to change plans and take a desert vacation instead of the usual spring break beach vacation. It was a great decision mainly because the El Morocco Inn & Spa was such a fantastic place to unwind and relax.

The rooms were very comfortable and the authentic Moroccan decor throughout the inn was really charming. The natural mineral waters of Desert Hot Springs are a big draw and the El Morocco has capitalized on this with a nice large hot tub and a good size pool surrounded by very comfortable lounge chairs. The warm sun and hot water created a blissful experience as all the stresses of everyday life melted away.

The owners of the inn take a great deal of pride in making sure that everything is just perfect. As a very active business traveler I have stayed at thousands of nice places but the ambiance and feeling of warmth and hospitality at the El Morocco Inn & Spa made departure at the end of the week a very difficult experience.

“Sensational!”

El Morocco Inn & Spa

La Jolla, CA

El Morocco was more than I could have asked for as a relaxing get away. From the moment you step in the door of the inn and spa, it's tip-top service to make your stay perfect. The brothers, Bruce and Steve, have created an oasis...a hidden treasure, with so much attention to detail, that the experience is simply amazing! Thank you Bruce and Steve for the fantastic few days. I will see you next year! Save me a chamber ;)
