My husband and I came to La Jolla from our hometown of Laguna Beach for a romantic getaway! The town of La Jolla is as charming and friendly as it looks. It's very similar in many ways to our hometown of Laguna Beach. We stayed at a charming hotel called La Jolla Inn for the weekend. We met the owner Tony and he couldn't have been nicer in accomodating us. The entire staff is so friendly and the hotel has such an excellent vibe! We were so close to shopping, restaurants and the spectacular beaches. If your looking for a hotel in La Jolla then this is the place for it's all about Location! Location! Location!!!

We were recommended this hotel through our family and they couldn't have been more right! The La Jolla Inn has the best location in La Jolla! We didn't need our car for the majority of our stay. We mostly walked and occasionally took a cab to near by places like Pacific Beach. The view from their terrace is amazing! You can see people snorking, surfing and boating near by the La Jolla Cove park. I especially loved their cookies! They have the best cookies I've ever had and on their website they say award winning and I can see why. If your looking for a great deal and the best location in La Jolla then this is the place. We highly recommend it!

After a few days in in the area for business, my husband and I decided to stay in town for pleasure and to get to know La Jolla. We wanted to be in the thick of it with views of the ocean. Since I was in town already and did not have anything booked, I drove in and walked into the many hotels. It turned out to be a "sold out" weekend due to a large event in town. I had the opportunity to see the full spectrum of hotel options and feel like we got a great deal in a great little hotel.

The La Jolla Inn is an old style hotel in the midst of downtown La Jolla. The sundeck and the rates are the best features. If you are expecting a great location, reasonable rates and a non-fancy experience, you will be happily surprised as we were.

As many others mentioned, the staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are simple, the views first rate and the location terrific (a long block downhill to a park and the ocean promanade). Enjoy!

I don't agree with some bad reviews written abouth this hotel so here is my best advice: I come to La Jolla for business and I love to stay at this particular hotel, It's very charming and it has the best location and prices to be right in the downtown. I've stayed in different rooms everytime I stay there and they are always clean and with all the ammenities. I love their ocean view rooms with private balconies, they also offer a delicious continental breakfast which I usually have on their beautiful sundeck overlooking the ocean, it's like being in a restaurant with the best location without having to pay a buck! Parking is 2 blocks away, underground and secure and complimentary as well! I didn't mind doing my morning walks to the garage at all! The staff is very friendly and polite and also the best to reccomend a good restaurant for dinner. The hotel is just 2 blocks away from the cove and they'll even provide you a beach towel or chair. I definitely recommend this hotel if you're in La Jolla for business or pleasure. I'd also recommend to call the hotel directly to make your reservation as they're always very helpful.
