The La Jolla Inn is a great little hotel in a wonderful location. Our room was clean and tidy and included a king size bed. There was a small balcony that allowed us to see the ocean. This hotel is close to the stores and restaurants in La Jolla and an easy stroll to the water where you will find beautiful scenery and a colony of seals that are interesting to watch. Each morning you can order a continental breakfast that includes cereal, pastries, oj, tea, etc and your morning paper. You call the desk, they take your order and it is brought to your room in about 10 minutes. There is an outdoor area on the roof where you can have your breakfast, if you choose to do so, and the view is wonderful. If you come back to the hotel in the afternoon, tea, coffe, hot chocolate, lemonade and yummy cookies await in the library. The staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful. We were there during the US Open week and felt the rates were reasonable. Check out the cancellation policy as it may not suit some people. There is a basket of food goodies and a basket of personal needs (toothbrush, etc) that are left in the room but a fee applies. You will find a tiny bottle of shampoo and a soap in your bathroom so if you like to use lots, bring your own. There is a coffee maker with supplies for you to use in your room and there is no charge for that. This was a great little hotel and we would be happy to return!

My husband and I came to La Jolla from our hometown of Laguna Beach for a romantic getaway! The town of La Jolla is as charming and friendly as it looks. It's very similar in many ways to our hometown of Laguna Beach. We stayed at a charming hotel called La Jolla Inn for the weekend. We met the owner Tony and he couldn't have been nicer in accomodating us. The entire staff is so friendly and the hotel has such an excellent vibe! We were so close to shopping, restaurants and the spectacular beaches. If your looking for a hotel in La Jolla then this is the place for it's all about Location! Location! Location!!!

We were recommended this hotel through our family and they couldn't have been more right! The La Jolla Inn has the best location in La Jolla! We didn't need our car for the majority of our stay. We mostly walked and occasionally took a cab to near by places like Pacific Beach. The view from their terrace is amazing! You can see people snorking, surfing and boating near by the La Jolla Cove park. I especially loved their cookies! They have the best cookies I've ever had and on their website they say award winning and I can see why. If your looking for a great deal and the best location in La Jolla then this is the place. We highly recommend it!

After a few days in in the area for business, my husband and I decided to stay in town for pleasure and to get to know La Jolla. We wanted to be in the thick of it with views of the ocean. Since I was in town already and did not have anything booked, I drove in and walked into the many hotels. It turned out to be a "sold out" weekend due to a large event in town. I had the opportunity to see the full spectrum of hotel options and feel like we got a great deal in a great little hotel.

The La Jolla Inn is an old style hotel in the midst of downtown La Jolla. The sundeck and the rates are the best features. If you are expecting a great location, reasonable rates and a non-fancy experience, you will be happily surprised as we were.

As many others mentioned, the staff was kind and helpful. The rooms are simple, the views first rate and the location terrific (a long block downhill to a park and the ocean promanade). Enjoy!
