My husband and I eat at Fume' every time we go to Napa. It's good food for a much more reasonable price than you can find at most Napa restaurants, and the wine list is quite nice. Casual dining at its best.

I live in Napa and have many choices when I want to go out for a nice meal. You will never go wrong choosing Fume Bisro. The food is amazing. The menu changes with the seasons and there is always something new and wonderful to try. I had the best spicy clam chowder of my life there. Whenever out of town friends come to Napa we take them there, no one has ever been disapointed. 5 stars !
We were recommended to go here to "get away from the tourist restaurants." We later found out that the recommender was the father of the owner. No problems with that - however, the father also told us that only the best of the best survive in this town because the competition is so fierce. What we found though, was an average restaurant. The setting was nice (although loud). The food was average (although it sounded great on the menu). And unfortunately, the prices didn't make it such a deal to justify the averageness. You'll have a good meal, but not memorable.
We had a wonderful dinner at this bristro, just wish we would have dined there one more night. Wonderful fish and excellent osso bucco. We would recommend this place to anyone. It should be at the top of the most popular list.
My wife and I travelled to the Napa/Sonoma wine region last week and were looking for a restaurant able to match excellent food with some excellent area wine in a casual atmosphere; Fume' was that place.
From soup, salad to fish/fowl and dessert Fume' did nothiing wrong and everything very good to excellent. My wife, who is new to the fish eating world, had the macadamia nut encrusted Opakapaka, served over jasmine rice with fresh green beans. Her wine was simply Fume's standard Napa Valley, Whitehall Lane, Sauvignon Blanc. A tasteful choice she found very complimentary with her fish. A week later she's still rhapsodizing about all of it.
I, who normally eat fish, tried the roasted chicken, and was pleasantly surprised with the tenderness, flavor and portion size. This was a real treat for me since I'm a big guy and find so many "good" restaurants send me packing still hungry. I had a tasty Havens Syrah, Napa Valley to start and moved to a Zonato(?) Pinot Grigio with dinner.
For dessert we "shared" a blackberry cobbler with a dollop of vanilla gelato, which disappeared quicker than my wife could say, "let's split this evenly." (All's fair in love and dessert sharing.)
While we know the area is famous for good food places, we didn't want to fool with a good thing so that next night it was easy...we did it all over again.
