“Truly A Gem!”

Castle Marne

5 of 5 stars
Somerville, MA
Apr 20, 2008

Have you ever walked in to an inn and said "Wow!" only to have the experience get better? Such was my stay at the Castle Marne! From the moment that I got out of the shuttle van that dropped me at the door (at a very reasonable rate) and the other riders in the van said "Oh my!" to my departure 4 days later, the Castle Marne exceeded my expectations. I have stayed in some very nice inns (my first choice in accomodations) and the Castle Marne rates with the best. It is obvious that the owners Jim and Diane and their daughter Melissa delight in seeing that their guests are given exceptional service. The inn has a warm, comfortable charm, the breakfasts are first rate and the rooms are very comfortable. I was in the Lang room and the bed was so comfortable! I don't drive, yet public transit was 2 blocks away - a quick walk. The inn is within walking distance of the Tattered Cover Bookstore. Definitely put it on your list of places to visit when in town. I highly recommend the Castle Marne.

“A truly special B&B in Denver”

Castle Marne

5 of 5 stars
san francisco
Apr 10, 2008

With its upbeat, personable and attentive owners, three nights at Castle Marne during my recent business trip convinced me that I was the luckiest person in Denver. Castle Marne is a welcoming, historic, antique-filled B&B, spotless, and with a staff dedicated to serving its guests with a personal touch that is so rare these days. I can't wait to stay there again. Jim, Diane and Melissa made me feel completely welcome. They take tremendous pride in their home, as well they should!

This was a Select Registry Hotel-a historic landmark. Beautiful grounds and rooms. Non-smoking, outstanding breakfast. Victorian in nature. Gorgeous! Wonderful for couples of all ages.

“The Best!!!!”

Castle Marne

5 of 5 stars
New Jersey

What a wonderful B&B!!!! My mother, sister, and I stayed for 3 nights. Very warm and cozy atmosphere with great little rooms. A lot of charm and character that you don't see that often these days!!!

The breakfasts were out of this world!!!! Each morning was a unique gourmet meal....it was soo good! When talking about the trip to others, we always bring up how great the food was!

The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly and inviting. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Denver....hopefully soon!!!! The owners were very informative and able to provide us with ample information about the area.

Each room has journals of people's comments....it was fun to read through those and see what people thought of the B&B and what they were there for. I must say there were hundreds of comments in these books and I didn't see any negatives!!!

“Charm and Grace”

Castle Marne

5 of 5 stars
New York, NY
Oct 11, 2007

My husband and I stayed here and immediately felt comfortable. We are coming back again in December. The house is historic, beautiful and painstakingly restored. The room was quiet and cheerfully decorated, and we appreciated all the books and local magazines to look through. The breakfasts were made up of several courses and deliciously prepared. It feels like visiting a relative's Victorian mansion. The innkeepers were delightful, friendly, helpful, and obviously enjoy what they do. You can definitely feel that in the atmosphere. If you are visiting in the warmer months, they also have a beautiful garden where you can have tea, or an evening refreshment. Of course, having tea in the parlor is also lovely. I think if you stay there, it helps to have a friendly attitude toward the other guests, because you will run into them, be seated next to them at breakfast, etc., though I think if you wanted more privacy/are not a morning person, that would be OK, too.
