We own a Hyatt timeshare in Sedona, Az which is beautiful. We trade one of our weeks each year for Sunset Harbor because we love Key West and this property is centrally located to everything fun in Key West. Don't expect a *****Hyatt resort here. The property is something like 15 years old but is well maintained. They're going to remodel the living rooms in all the units this year. The staff are "on it" and I have no complaints. The manager is tuned into her property and sees that everything is perfect. If you stay at this property you won't need a car as you are within walking distance to everything that is Key West.
Staff: Excellent. Went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be.
Rooms: need a little upgrading but that's happening. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were QUIET.
Pool: no complaints
Grounds: Beautiful and well maintained
Concierge: knowledgable and made some fine recommendations for dining and entertainment
WiFi: not bad. I went a day and a half without service but it was fixed.
We will be back here next year.

“Idyllic spot near Mallory Square”

Hyatt Sunset Harbor Resort

We purchased a low-season two-bedroom at Hyatt Windward Pointe a year
ago with the express purpose of exchanging it for a one-bedroom high-season spot at Sunset Harbor. Knowing that it wasn't guaranteed, we were very pleased that the exchange went off without a hitch, and look forward to an annual visit here in April. They're undertaking a major room renovation this spring, so all rooms will look much more spiffy soon. (Fabrics, etc becoming a little threadbare.) Because we stayed an extra night beyond the Sunday-Sunday norm, we were moved from our first floor harbor-front room (511) to a third floor back-corner-of-the-property room (131) for our last night. Much preferred the upper level room, and will be sure to request it next time. The small grounds are beautiful, and very well maintained. Very pleased with the little things like plenty of towels, nice personal products,
icemaker, and the supply of sugar packets. Also, very important to me, an extremely quiet, efficient air conditioning system. Very nice to relax for a week +, with a fridge full of supplies (breakfasts and drinks) and coin laundry on site.

Disappointments were minor: Queen bed instead of king in one-bedroom units, transportation not provided to/from airport (even though Hyatt
has tons of vans running potential buyers around), and while the units are spacious, the kitchen area is very squeezed (but, who ends up doing much cooking, anyway?!)

“Not Quite a 5 Star Hyatt”

Hyatt Sunset Harbor Resort

I am a Hyatt Vacation Club owner and have stayed at all Hyatt timeshares in Key West as well as the ones in Bonita Springs and Breckenridge. While still beautiful, conveniently located and has a wonderful staff, the original Sunset Hyatt timeshare resort is in need of a room renovation to bring it up to par with the newer locations.

Also as a Hyatt owner, I was charged $20.00 for parking, which I didn't think was appropriate considering the amount of annual fees being paid. I believe owners should be entitled to free parking at this location as is the policy at other Hyatt locations.

“Loved this place”

The Hyatt Sunset Harbor was super.
My friend and I went for my Birthday and the location and the accomodations could not have been better.
The outdoor pool was fabulous and I liked the fact that there were no children screaming , nor running around the pool.
Actually, there were no children there at all.
It overlooked the port where the cruise ships come in and again, the location was perfect, walking distance to all the great Restaurants, shops etc.
The room had a little refrigerator, coffee machine and microwave and utensils, a toaster and the bathroom was very big and I can't say enough POSITIVE about this resort.
I will be back.

We are repeat Customers at the Hyatt Sunset and, as usual, the accommodations were awesome. It's a short walk to Duval Street and no car is necessary. Everyone at the Hyatt was very nice and friendly.
