This was our first time at a HGVC. We were very pleased. The staff was gracious and helpful, the pools were very nice and the location was perfect for any Orlando attraction, especially Sea World.

We stayed in a 1 bdrm w/ a jacuzzi tub. The room was large enough to sleep 4 easily (King bed and pull out sofa). The bed was comfortable and the availability of the washer and dryer was a plus.

The only negative we found was the size of the shower. The bathrooms are very large, but the shower was a small corner shower.

We ate at the restaurant down by the pool. The food and service were good (save room for dessert, the brownie w/ ice cream was delicious). We liked the little shop that offered items from pastries, beverages and frozen meals to swim suits. The same shop also sold pizza, sandwiches, fruit and ice cream.

There are lots of activities available (make sure to pick up a schedule), basketball and tennis courts and poolside movies.

This is a great place to stay for just about anyone wanting to be near Sea World.

We enjoyed a 6 night stay recently at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Sea World. It was great having a kitchen and washing machine right in our unit. We were able to have our own breakfast there in the morning and it saved us time. We also didn't have to go far to get groceries since the store on site sold everything we needed. The pools were beautiful. The staff was friendly. They would pick us up at our unit whenever we needed a ride in a gold cart to the lobby. We used the Universal shuttle one day which was free but we used taxis for the rest of the trip since the shuttle service can be expensive for a family of 4. We also enjoyed our hot tub in our room every night-very relaxing after a long day at the parks. Our kids had a fun time at the hotel.

My son and I went here for our Spring Break getaway in April of 2008 and we absolutely loved it. We booked our vacation through Universal Studios Vacations. Upon our arrival I found that the hotel did not have our reservations. I called Universal Vacations and they straightened everything out pretty quickly. The hotel manager even upgraded our studio room to a one bedroom. It was very nice. The room had a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and a jucuzzi. My son loved the pool the best. They had three pools but one was closed. I didn't even notice that because the other pools were great. They also had several hot tubs and even a wading pool for the babies. We ordered from the onsite Pizza Hut and the service was pretty good. We also ate at the little Coral Reef bar and the food there was good also. On the last day my son joined the kid's club for a morning at SeaWorld. There was a small charge but it was worth it. He loved every second. I have stayed at several hotels in the Orlando area but this by far was the best. We didn't want to come home and almost didn't. Great hotel!!!

I requested an exact building with a room away from the Highway - I didn't realise that there are not many rooms in this particular block that are away from the road. This is probably why we were given a room in the requested block, but by the highway. I telephoned Reception straight away and asked to be moved even if it meant another block, as it was late at night they asked if we could stay 1 night and move in the morning - we did this and ended up in a lovely room that met all my requests!

In actual fact this highway seems less busy than International Drive itself. While sitting by the lovely pools you cannot see another hotel, (golf course next door) so it feels secluded. There is a fire station near by, but I'm sure all of central Orlando will hear this at some time during most days! It was only noticeable to us one morning at 7 am, which we didn't mind considering the tough job they were probably off too! I think this hotel is the most perfectly situated in Orlando. Walking distance to Sea World, but be careful crossing the road and drive the short distance if you plan to stay after dark. Easy access to International Drive, Interstate, Universal Studios and the huge Walmart on Turkey Lake Road and Disney. The Hotel offered a free shuttle to Sea World, Aquatica, Universal and a chargeable shuttle to Disney, but we preferred the flexibility of taking the car.

Reception were always very friendly and helpful. Our son decided to change the safe number but couldn't remember what to...after a slight panic and 20 attempts we contacted Reception who sent security within 10 minutes. Problem soon solved and only a little embaressment on our behalf!

We liked the huge rooms (1 bedroom ) with all the useful facilities, it was ideal. We stayed for 14 nights and found our apartment cleaned daily, with our sons new teddies displayed in a cute way! Toiletries, washing powder etc re-stocked with new each day too. Spa tub and private patio area were also an added benefit to us!

There is a small restaurant, we found this adequate for the odd meal as we like to go to different places anyway. The staff here were the friendliest in the whole of Orlando! They will also do take-outs for you to eat in the privacy of your room.

We stayed over Easter and our son really enjoyed the activities on Easter Day. The easter egg hunt of course being the favourite! We all enjoyed seeing the easter bunny too! There was a big programme of daily childrens activities and screened films, we caught one film by the pool, but generally we were too busy to do anymore than swim and chill in the hotel!

Sorry to read that a few reviewers have had bad experiences, but I read reviews on many hotels for the best part of 6 months before choosing this one and I'm thrilled to say it was better than my expectations. I hope one day we have the opportunity to come back, but its a long way from the UK! We are not time share owners, so this was a one off for us!

PS We didn't get any time share hassle!!
