“Absolutely Loved It!!!”

Stayed here as a guest of an owner. The property is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Proximity to Disney can't be beat unless you're staying in the parks. Read other reviews about noise through walls but did not experience any problems. Had a room in the new tower and Bonnet Creek looks as though they spared no expense with decor. For those who are looking at these reviews to pick a place, do not hesitate to stay here. It was great. Plenty of room for 4 and no problems. There was a goofy guy at the pool who owned a Wyndham timeshare in Virginia and kept saying how he couldn't believe that they let him trade into the Bonnet Creek, but he was the only downside. I think his name was "Hawk" if you run into him...never put sunscreen on his kid, either...strange.

“Beautiful Property, close to Disney”

This was my first visit to Bonnet Creek. I was very impressed with the property. The front lobby and check in area were beautiful and check in was a breeze. We were able to purchase Disney tickets inside the lobby at a Disney owned ticket counter. The outdoor pool area at the main building overlooks the pond and includes a fun kid play area. There is a second pool near one of the other towers.
There was a small cafe that offered breakfast and lunch (not sure about dinner). We didn't eat there. We purchased groceries and ate dinner in our unit.
Our room was nicely decorated and very clean. The units didn't offer Wi-Fi. I brought my ethernet cable and was able to get a connection thought the phone. Wi-Fi is offered at the activity center.
The location of the resort is perfect. We were very closed to all the Disney parks. We used the free shuttle to only one park (Hollywood Studios) I wish we would have used it for the other parks. We had to pay to park at the other parks.
I highly recommend Bonnet Creek. We had a great time at Disney World and will be back in a few years. We will stay at Bonnet Creek again.

Bonnet Creek is a beautiful Resorts by far, I will give this hotel a 5 star rating anytime. The staff was really friendly, the rooms were decorated nicely and provided more than enough space. We stayed in a two bedroom villa, which has it's own kitchen and two bathrooms. The best part about being at this resort is the activites onsite, you don't have to leave the resort if you don't want to. My husband, 5 year old daughter and myself didn't really get a chance to enjoy the resort as we would have like because we were there for Disney's theme parks. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who's looking for clean spacious rooms, a friendly staff, a home away from home, activites onsite, and just a relaxing get away. The pool and game room is opening 24 hours which is located in the main building. My husband and I found the place to be so breathe taking that we purchased a timeshare at Bonnet Creek for Building Six, which will be done in 2010. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful Place, anyone that says otherwise is just very hard to please.

“The Best Place We've Stayed in the Orlando area”

Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort

5 of 5 stars

We stayed at Bonnet Creek in October ‘07 and again in January ’08 with my wife’s brother.

For the most part we loved Bonnet Creek and would reiterate all of the things other reviewers have said. The entire resort is supposed to be “voluntary nonsmoking” but I’m not entirely sure what that means because on our first stay, the room reeked of smoke the entire time. They knew this too because there was a portable air filter on the counter that ran constantly but didn’t seem to do any good. Neither my wife nor I smoke so we noticed the smoke smell every time we came back to the room. But since we aren’t allergic, we didn’t complain or request a different room.

We did go to the overly high pressure sales pitch meetings but got $75 off of the Disney tickets for our trouble (both times we stayed there).

Probably the best underrated amenity at Bonnet Creek in my opinion is the free shuttle service to each of the Disney theme parks and Downtown Disney. This was wonderful and they run on a posted schedule and no reservations are required. They suggest getting there 10 minutes early but we rarely did and it wasn’t a problem. Considering that parking costs something like $11 per day at the Disney parks this is a great benefit along with free parking at Bonnet Creek.

The only caution is that shuttle drivers don’t necessarily know Disney schedules. One time we were told by the driver that that there was a 9:00p.m. fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom and when we got there found out that the park had closed earlier because it was Winter. All that the shuttle driver knew was that he had to be there to pick up people at a later time. I’ve concluded that the shuttles must run the same schedule regardless of the time of year.

One other thing that I don’t believe anyone else mentioned was the small Jacuzzi tubs. We are average sized middle aged adults with perhaps a few extra pounds and we couldn’t both fit into the “2 person” Jacuzzi. So we ended up taking turns, but how romantic is that? Oh, read the warning card by the Jacuzzi and you’ll learn that these are the new style Jacuzzis that about 15 minutes after the water drains out, the pump turns on to blow the water out of the pipes. This can be quite a shock if you happen to be asleep or engaged in more romantic activities and you aren’t expecting it.

When we were there in January they had just opened up the brand new huge check-in area that allows the entire operation to be in one area. Also all of the construction is now in the end building way away from most people’s rooms.

One night we decided to get something to eat at the little snack area behind the smaller pool. The pizza was quite good and the desserts looked so good in the display that I just HAD to have a piece of the chocolate cake. But I made the mistake of insisting that I get THAT VERY piece in the display case rather than a smaller one from the back room. Little did I know that the display piece had probably been there for a week or more and was so stale that I could only manage a few bites from the middle. Sometimes I do the dumbest things because I hate being taken advantage of.

Someone mentioned a $3 fee to use the miniature golf course but I don’t think that is the case. The only problem is that you have to check out the clubs and balls at the main recreation area across the lake from the mini golf which is just a little inconvenient.

I don’t recall anyone mentioning the free movies that are shown in the large pool area on a blow-up screen at the end of the pool a couple of times a week. On other occasions the large screen is used for karaoke so there definitely are a lot of organized activities but it is hard to compete with WDW and other area attractions.

We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Orlando.

“Resort was fantastic!”

First visit to this resort as Wyndhan Discovery members and it was wonderful! It's across the street from the Disney Vacation Clud. We stayed in Torre Del Mar with my husband and 10 year old son the week of 3/31/08. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the miniature golf course, volleyball court, fun on the lawn activities and of course the pool (one with slide). Plenty to do on the resort if you don't want to do Disney. The pool was always crowded which is to expected during the spring break season. (They're adding another pool with the next tower which is in construction already.) Our building was a small hike from the main building where there's another pool, but that didn't bother us too much. My son loved the game room although there's just one ping pong table which teenagers tend to hog after 9 pm.

The rooms were really clean, furniture was top notch and the kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need. They also have a grill area, although it was in high demand we were able to use it when we wanted it. The rooms were very sound proof and we could'nt even hear the construction with the patio door closed.

We saw Epcot fireworks everynight from our balcony which was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and we'll definitely be back. Thus far as Discovery members, we've found this to be the nicest of the resorts we've stayed at thus far and are seriously considering becoming owners.
