“Very good but be careful”

This is a great alternative to a hotel room,we had a 3bedroom condo ,beautifully furnished and free international calls all for under £55 a night. It was also incredibly quiet, but as a previous reviewer said it is not for everyone. If you don't have a car it could be costly or time consuming to get around but I would say the biggest concern you could have is construction noise. We were lucky and were well away from it but a large chunk of Vista Cay is currently being extended and if you are unlucky enough to be in a condo near that the view cetainly isnt great.I was told by a couple trying to change rooms that they start at 7.30am including Sundays. So do your homework -contact your property management company and request to be away from the Universal Boulevard side. Also women on reception have no clue about anything really but remember this isn't a hotel so if you like a smiling receptionist and banter then this isn't for you. However it is a great option if you know what to expect.

“Excellent Value”

We booked via Go2Florida and got a 3 Bedroom Monterrey for £60/Night. Great Value.

I thought the accommodation itself was well equipped with modern applicances and clean/new linen etc. The rooms were very spacious especially the living area and the main bedroom and ensuite.

Only slight criticism of the accomodation is the floor areas are so large the sound of the people above moving about just reverberates around the room. This is ok most of the time but can be annoying late at night and early morning. On our second night we received a complaint about our children moving around playfully at 11.30, whic we addressed. We had a similar experience with the people above us on other occassions, particularly one morning where it appeared a young child was up running about from 6am. A quiet, polite word, resolved this however.

The pool area can get quite busy especially in the early evening when people return from the parks.

The Publix is great value and extremely handy. We had a car and it is a necessity to get the most from the break.

We would certainly return.

Just back from a 2 week Holiday at Vista Cay, Apartment was first class, brand new and spotless. All appliances in kitchen you could want and just as in brochure. Very modern and spacious. Asked for 2 bed and were given a three bed. Only small criticisms would be (as mentioned in previous reports), swimming pool facilities not nearly adequate for amount of apartments, pool too small and crowded and a real sunbed issue (especially at weekends when people are avoiding long queues at parks). Also there is a lot of building work going on in immediate vicinity and they start EARLY.. around 7am most mornings which is ok if you are up for a park anyway but quite annoying if you are trying for a lay-in.. All that said the apartments are beatiful and well worth the money. Close to Sea World (about 5 mins in car) and handy for Universal (about 10 mins in car). Would definately go back there.

“Superb accomodation”

Vista Cay by Millenium

This is the first time we stayed here and booked the 3 bedded condo for 13 nights. We found the accomodation very comfortable, spacious and very clean. The new Publix supermarket has just opened a month ago and was a 2 min walk from the condo. The pool area did have plenty sunbeds but as it was the main holiday season it was very busy. The staff here provided a superb 4th of July celebration which included a bbq and all cold drinks for free. This was a pleasant surprise and we all had a great day. The location of the Vista Cay is 7 mins from Universal and also to Seaworld/ Aquatica. You cannot get a better location than this. Its great value for money and cannot recommend this place highly enough.

“Will come back ,but not for everybody.”

Vista Cay by Millenium

This is a relatively new complex. It is 2.5miles from point Orlando on International Drive. It is too far to walk to I-drive so a taxi is required there and back. They varied in cost from £8 to £20 depending on what they could get away with.Once we found our guy at £8 pounds we stuck with him.

The accommodation is decorated a very high standard, and is highly recommended by us.Millenium also provided us with a free netpad service for the internet, which was very usefull.
We will come back again.
There were some downsides however.

I booked through Flyglospan in the UK ,and when we arrived at the main reception of the developement to check in,they had no knowledge of our booking.
After travelling for 18 hrs we were very tired and the last thing that we wanted was to have problems.
I purposely booked this accommodation because i did not want to drive, but i wanted to be close to i-drive.

We were told that the management company for our properties offices were in Kissimmee ,and that we would have to go to there offices to check in.This would have been an expensive and time consuming round trip.
I refused to accept this and they said that they would lay on a taxi for us.
The next minute it was discovered that our property was being managed by millenium and they had an office on another part of the site.If we had ,had our own hire vehicle we would have gone of on a wild goose chase.
By this stage we ere exhausted and very angry.

The staff at millenium upgraded us to a 3 bed apartment from the 2 bed that we booked.

So please check where your management company is based before travelling ,and make contact with them the day before you depart.

Another downside is that there isn't a bar or a restaurant onsite.

Publix opened a new supermarket right next door to our apartment the previous week ,so this allowed us to eat in.

We ended up hiring a car for the second week which was an added expense, that we hadn't planned for.

Knowing all the propblems hasn't put us of going back ,we will hire a car next time, and enjoy the wonderfull standard of the accommodation.
