“Absolutely Beautiful Resort”

Marriott's Cypress Harbour

May 4, 2008

We stayed at this beautiful resort from April 27 - May 3, 2008. We were staying at another resort, which we were very disappointed in, and saw this resort on hotels.com and booked it. I went with my husband, 2 girls and my daughters friend. The condo was spotless, large and decorated beautifully. The kitchen had granite countertops and the master bedroom was huge with a king size bed, jacuzzi and double sinks in the bathroom. The resort had 3 pools. The main pool had a pavilion bar and an area to order take out food. The food was pretty good. We just got lunch there a few times and also ordered pizza to be delivered for dinner one night. The bar drinks weren't outrageously expensive. A beer was about $4.00 and a mixed drink was around $7.00. The mix drinks are put in big plastic cups, so you feel like you are getting a double drink. I didn't want to leave the resort and will definitely go back again.

Just got back from a week 4/17-4/24/08 and came back so relaxed and eager to return next year! We had two familie's of four sharing a two bedroom with plenty of room (note-we are sisters/cousins so rooming together was not an issue). From check-in to check-out this Marriott continued to offer superior accomodations and service. The grounds are continuously being groomed. The place was absolutely gorgeous! Our kids ranged from 8-13 and were always entertained. There was a pontoon boat that would pick you up at the pool and take you to the Activities center for free. The kids were able to ride that over for "make you own sundaes". There was some kind of music entertainment daily poolside and one night the kids were able to make s'mores by the pool. You can save $ by shopping at Publix and eating breakfast/lunch in your villa or by bringing in cooler to the pool area. We will definitely be back!

“Quiet, spacious, a little rough on the service”

Marriott's Cypress Harbour

Washington DC, District of Columbia

We stayed over April 20-22, 2008. We asked for a quiet location and received one overlooking the golf course. Very nice to sit outside on the screened porch and read, enjoy the breeze.

The pros:

--The 2 BR were spacious, bright, comfortable and cosy.
--Beds were wonderfully comfortable.
--Pools were warm and grounds were pretty
--Close to parks
--Close to shopping and restaurants
--We were able to check in early
--Most staff were friendly

The cons:

--The food service is very limited and the service from the Grill was slow and confusing. We were not notified when our food was ready (twice).
--The jacuzzi did not work. The stopper in one sink was broken. While housekeeping was aware of the latter, they did not fix it.
--There were no towels available at the pools, nor any signs explaining how to locate them. If you wanted to obtain a towel, you were told to go to the front desk (which could require a drive or a 10 minute walk).
--The staff was either very friendly or disinterested. At one point, we were eating lunch at a poolside table and asked to move in the middle of our lunch so they could have the table for an activity. This could have been avoided had they simply "saved" the table or brought in another. It was rude to ask us to move when we were midway through our meal (and there were no other available tables).

In the end, these little glitches prevented the Cypress Harbor from being an outstanding experience, but I'd probably return.

We were their from 4/14/08-4/21/08. I was with my husband, 2 sons 8 & 11 and my parents. It was the first time they were in Florida and they could not get over the resort. The resort is beautiful, clean, and friendly staff. I wish we had more time to spend on the grounds. There was a lot to do at the resort. The 2 bedroom villa was very spacious. We were in building 50 on the 4th floor. Beautiful view.
I would come to this resort again next time we visit Florida.

“Didn't think it could get better!!”

Just returned a week ago from our 2nd visit to Cypress Harbour in 3 years and enjoyed the experience even more than last time.

We arrived after a first week (first visit) at Grande Vista and were delighted that our request for the same building, top floor as last visit had been honoured.

The unit had been totally refurbished since our previous visit and was absolutely beautiful, granite kitchen tops, fresh & bright paintwork, new furniture & electronics (tv, DVD etc.) & had retained our favourite feature - the HUGE jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom.

We love this resort so much as it is laid out to enable people to walk around the resort - to the pools, reception, bar etc which is so nice.

Since our last visit they have also put in a small nature trail where you can see squirrels, turtles & lizards which is really nice.

As we were only visiting Seaworld this trip & doing more relaxing we all made much more use of the facilities such as boating, basketball, table tennis & the pool bar (margarita heaven!!)

The staff were, as before, so friendly & helpful to all our requests for info.

If you want a laid back, top quality resort, easy to Seaworld & all the other parks take my word for it, this is it, we can't wait to return
