Bottom line first...a bit pricey but worth it!
Behind unpretentious white walls you will find a unique treat. Americans Jim & Nancy Swickart have spent 15+ years turning this property into a luxurious hideaway where you will be expertly pampered amid a fantastic collection of antiques presented in classic hacienda style. Include gormet food, live music, a pool in every courtyard and a great spa, and you'll come away with a package of the sort of memories you will enjoy forever.
The town of Alamos has become a mini-Mecca for expat Americans, who have restored many of the 1700's-vintage homes to, and beyond, their former glory. These, and more, can be explored with the aid of the Hacienda staff.
As noted by other reviewers, Alamos is pilot-friendly with a fine airport that is scheduled to become an airport-of-entry. For now, I recommend Guaymas for easy entry & fuel.
