“Okay For Short Stay”

Clarion Hotel Tulsa-Broken Arrow

Dec 28, 2007

I was lucky to get a room here for one night since the ice storm had just occurred and most everywhere was booked, however for the price of $99/night I found soon after that I could get a room at a newer nicer hotel in the same area which I did. This hotel is an older hotel with older furnishings etc. I travel quite a bit for work and prefer newer/updated furnishings and amenities. The bathroom was clean, but wasn't updated and you could tell it was very old (cracks, peeled paint, wallpaper coming off). The carpet was stained in a few places (probably from previous pets, which I am an owner of a shih-tzu and appreciate hotels that accept pets, however I also appreciate when they thoroughly clean the room and carpets after each pet stay, that is what the pet fee should be used for.) When I pulled back the old outdated curtains there was mold on the windowsill and condensation. Like I said before, overall the room was tidy, but in my opinion if the hotel is going to charge the same as newer updated hotels they should do some updates and fix some things also. I would understand if the pricing were less. And it was fine for a short stay and the customer service was good, but I'm enjoying the other hotel I am at with updated amenities and breakfast for the same price.

Initially I booked our rooms for Comfort Inn across the street, as I was not familiar with Clarion Hotels and there were no pictures to be found. When I found out that our second night stay in the same room at Comfort Inn had tripled in cost ($60 to $180.00), I immediately cancelled and reserved rooms at Clarion. I reserved a double queen bed and one king suite. The rooms were beautiful, the beds tall with new mattresses and pillows. The bathroom in the double queen room was small, but who lives in the bathroom? The bathroom in the king suite was humungous and when I found a few things of dislike, the front desk and manager were on the problems immediately!!! We were compensated beyond our expectations. Let's face it, it's hard to find a perfect hotel without an outrageous price attached. I'm glad I chose Clarion! They may not have a conteniental breakfast, but I guarentee you that Comfort Inn's wasn't worth a triple in cost for a room just because there was some special event going on! There's a resteraunt attached to Clarion as well as a bar on the premises. Yes, it use to be a Holiday Inn, but they are well into their rennovation of the building and it is well worth your time to check this hotel out. We'll be back to stay again when in the neighborhood!

    • Disliked — Not so thourough cleaning of king suite bathroom. I think housekeeping was rushed to get it suite ready for our early arrival.

“It wasn't what I expected”

My family and I stayed at this particular Holiday Inn last year and I can definately say that I will not be making a return trip there. The room was just horribly unkept. There were some very questionable stains on the carpet. The bathroom was so small that everytime we tried to take a shower or even use the bathroom we kept bumping into the door of bathroom. I felt so uncomfortable that I refused to sleep under the bedding for fear of catching some sort of disease. If it wasn't for the fact that it was 2am when we arrived there, I would have left that very night and found another hotel right then and there. Needless to say, we did leave from this hotel the next day and found much more accommendating arrangements somewhere else for the remainder of our stay in Tulsa. And at a cheaper price I might add. Don't waste your money. Keep looking for a nicer place.

“Loved the Holiday Inn South”

The front desk agents at the Holiday Inn were wonderful. They really made us feel like we were welcome. No matter what questions we had or what we needed, they were more than willing to go out of their way to help us out. I would definitely stay there again and am going to reccomend it to any one I know heading that way. Thanks for making us feel like we were at home.

“Comfortable for the price”

I would not recommend this hotel if there are others around with availability. The rooms are comfortable for the price, and it has an outdoor pool. The happy hour and continental breakfast leave a lot to be desired, and the fitness center consists of a few machines in a small room. The brochures and in-room folder information say that this hotel has a complimentary airport shuttle, but when I called the front desk to schedule a pick-up time, I was informed that there is no shuttle.
