I was lucky to get a room here for one night since the ice storm had just occurred and most everywhere was booked, however for the price of $99/night I found soon after that I could get a room at a newer nicer hotel in the same area which I did. This hotel is an older hotel with older furnishings etc. I travel quite a bit for work and prefer newer/updated furnishings and amenities. The bathroom was clean, but wasn't updated and you could tell it was very old (cracks, peeled paint, wallpaper coming off). The carpet was stained in a few places (probably from previous pets, which I am an owner of a shih-tzu and appreciate hotels that accept pets, however I also appreciate when they thoroughly clean the room and carpets after each pet stay, that is what the pet fee should be used for.) When I pulled back the old outdated curtains there was mold on the windowsill and condensation. Like I said before, overall the room was tidy, but in my opinion if the hotel is going to charge the same as newer updated hotels they should do some updates and fix some things also. I would understand if the pricing were less. And it was fine for a short stay and the customer service was good, but I'm enjoying the other hotel I am at with updated amenities and breakfast for the same price.
