“Second visit - and still one of our favourites”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

We wrote about our great experience at Le Boscareece last October and said we would return this year - and we did.

The location and hospitality were as good as ever. A good base which to tour the area - and get then back in the evening into the Tuscan countyside and enjoy the delicious menus.

We plan to bring our friends next year

“A Tuscan gem”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

Sep 12, 2007

As you climb the hills through the vineyards and olive groves, you know you have found a perfect spot in Tuscany and Le Boscarecce itself does not disappoint. Susanna is so welcoming and has created a perfect mix of relaxation and privacy. The views from the restaurant (wonderful food) stay with you long after you have left. Susanna makes life so simple - it's an easy daytrip to Florence from here and she offered to reserve tickets for us at the Uffizi without hesitation.
At Le Boscarecce, you can relax, breathe and just soak up Tuscany at its best.

“A priceless gem truly worth discovering.”

We discovered Le Boscarecce last summer but stayed for only 3 nights. This year we made sure that we stayed for longer - one week. The hotel is situated in the countryside (a challenging place to find but well worth it) and is a haven for absolute peace and relaxation. Although in the countryside, the hotel is well placed for visits to Florence, Pisa, Sienna, Vinci, Lucca and more. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable. The kids love the swimming pool and tennis court. Susanna and Swan make guests feel most welcome - nothing is too much trouble. When asked Susanna is a super source of tourist information about the locality for history, attractions, shopping, wine tasting and more. However, the best part of the hotel must be the dining experience - the food is fantastic and the wine a perfect complement to the food - Bartolo is an excellent chef and Swan is an excellent sommelier. No complaints about Le Boscarecce. We look forward to our next visit.

“Heaven at Le Boscarecce”

Locanda Le Boscarecce

Locanda Le Boscarecce is like a little piece of heaven. The views are breathtaking, the sunset and sunrises are inspiring, and the location allows for a certain amount of tranquility.

The farmhouse is very inviting with a lovely grass tennis court and an inviting outdoor swimming pool. The rooms boast cathedral ceilings with Tuscany decor. Very neat and very clean. There is a central eatery with a stove and table and fireplace and then the four surrounding rooms share that common place. Ideal for extended family vacations.

Susanna is the proprietor of the Inn and her sister runs the Inn in Florence. If you rent a car, they allow you to park for free at either property. Susanna is such a loving and caring host who truly caters to your every need. Our son unfortunately had to stay over in the local hospital for one evening due to a nasty infection in his arm. Susanna was a God send in that she translated the doctors orders and even secured an extra bed in the room so that I could stay with my son while he was receiving treatment. If Susanna is not on the property, no need to worry because her daughter is also always available and just as loving and just as caring and helpful.

Every evening, dinner is served at 8p.m. with a champagne toast. The chef prepares such wonderful delicacies which are both visually stimulating as well as deliriously delicious. The atmosphere is very relaxing and calming after a full day of touring the local sights. Siena, Volterra, Vinci, Florence are all must sees and are within 1 hour driving or 1 hour by train.

We enjoyed our stay with these gracious hosts and their wonderful farmhouse so much that we would recommend these accommodations to anyone looking for a vacation they will never forget !

“try harder”

This is a truly lovely location, with gorgeous views of many miles of Tuscan hills, and the rooms and public areas are very attractive. Susanna is an accomplished host and very helpful when asked for information about the surrounding area. My husband had excellent food, but I was disappointed that little preparation or subsequent effort was made for my vegetarian diet, which I had requested when booking.
The pot-holed track to the property was also off-putting.
However, if you follow a normal diet and don't have to travel on the track you would probably enjoy it.
Shame, though.
