“Great, inexpensive place to stay”

This is a good place to stay while visiting Johnstown. The room was very clean and the personnel was extremely helpful and knowledgable. They even provided computer printouts of maps and directions to the local attractions and restaurants. Very neat. They had a nice free continental breakfast too. We checked in early and by luck, our room was ready so they let us in. I would recommend this hotel and I will definately stay there again.

This is a great hotel - clean room, staff friendly, would stay again

Management was nice and the hotel offers discounts to local restaurants if you show your room key. ample parking but the place is on a steep hill.

“Better than average Hampton Inn”

I have frequent stay accounts with Hilton and Marriott and try to stay in the better hotels of those chains. In Johnstown, PA, there is no better hotels so I booked the Hampton Inn for a one day business trip. .

This is about 5 miles or so south of downtown Johnstown. It is right off the highway and next to what appears to be the town's newest shopping district with the standard chain shops and restaurants.

The room was clean & comfortable. Did not appear old or aging for that manner.

The staff was friendly & courteous.

There is free internet (get a code from the front desk) and breakfast (I just had cereal but it looked pretty good). I think you can use a nearby gym.

Overall, a good (and probably the best choice) if you are staying in the Johnstown, PA area.

As a side note, this part of PA and MD is absolutely gorgeous with rolling hills and lush green trees and grass. Also, Johnstown is the city where the hockey film Slap Shot was filmed and based on.
