Loved location. Price half what beachfront hotels; just 2 miles to public access beach. Nice property, clean and comfy; good location. Pool is so nice after long day at beach. Wal-mart directly across street. Suggest buying pizza at Wal-mart and use microwave in room to cook. Save a ton of money and get money's worth from nice room. Can't beat Hampton Inn beds!

DH & I love Hilton Head Island, but since we're retired, we can't afford to visit as often if we have to pay to stay at the pricier hotels on the island. Based on the ratings here, we discovered the Hampton. No, it's not an oceanfront hotel, but it also doesn't have the oceanfront rates. We found that the room was clean and nicely appointed. It wasn't the largest room we've ever rented, but to be honest, we come to HHI for the beach, the fresh seafood, etc.; we don't spend that many waking hours in our room, so this fit our needs perfectly. IMHO, the only improvement would be to move this hotel to the beach (but keep the rates the same! LOL). We would recommend the HHI Hampton!

This is probley one of the worst Hampton Inns I have ever stayed at...I prefer Hilton Hotels due to the status I have obtained and have stayed at several across the US. Normally I stay in Savannah when I visit the area but decided to be closer to HH and stay here. I arrived and they had me in a smoking room...I had to go down and change it. The staff was rude the two days I was there. I had no USA Today delivery either day. I would not stay at this hotel again. The rooms are outdated and the bathroom sink was in the room.

There are several other properties in the area which are a better bet.

I must say, this hotel was one of the nicest Hampton Inn's I have ever stayed at. From the moment I checked in till the moment I checked out, the entire staff made me feel at home. The room was spacious. The breakfast was fantastic. The surroundings were wonderful. I could go on and on. Kudos to the management and staff of the hotel.
