Anniversary Trip 10-17 April 2007
I had spent a break in this hotel 6 years ago with my mother, as she had been there on her honeymoon in 1947 and my husband and I decided to return to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a relaxing week, no pressures, good food and walks on the island where we spent our honeymoon. We were not disappointed.
The rooms seem to have been reordered and now seem smaller, but adequate for our needs. The views are spectacular and with a bus stop outside it was easy to get to places we wanted to visit - a bus pass was included. On hearing we were there for a special reason we were given better rooms with a seaview at no extra cost.
The food was plentiful and of good quality with helpful and friendly staff serving. The restaurant was well patronised by locals which is always a good sign.
Overall we felt that this was not a top class hotel, but a friendly and comfortable traditional hotel offering good value for money, and the best seaview I have come across! I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and would return for future holidays.
