“great stay but needs free breakfast”

Courtyard by Marriott St. George

My daughter and I just returned after a weekend getaway from las vegas. This hotel is by far our most favorite. Everything is clean and airy and never overcrowded. The pool and exercise area is very appealing to teanagers. Beds re comfortable as are the sheets and bedding. The hotel is located in the best part of st. george, near great restaurants and the famous outlet mall. the movie theaters are down the street as is a indoor mall. MY only compl;aint is that the breakfast should be f ree. It is a standard complimentary buffet that is not complimentary. It is the same breakfast buffet that the marriott residence inn offers for free. If you are going to pay for the sub par courtyard breakfast you would be better off going to the bear paw in town. Other than that you can't beat the beautiful views and environment at the courtyard!

“Treated the runners well”

My friend and I stayed here for the St. George Marathon. It was a little more expensive than some places, but most of the good hotels and B&Bs were already full, so I was happy to get a reservation after I found out I made the marathon lottery. I was not sorry. The hotel was new, clean, had comfortable beds, and the hotel staff went out of their way to make the marathon runners welcome. They served up an early buffet breakfast on race day, had shuttle service to and from the race start, plus complimentary post-race massages. Everything was very nice.

“Best in Town”

I conduct a great deal of business in St. George. I have stayed in most of the better hotels in town. This property is the best. I wish that they had an included breatfast, however. The rooms are very comfortable. When my children are able to join me they really like the rocks around the pool. I will stay here many times in the future, including this next Wednesday.

“Cool hotel in hot climate”

We were going to stay in Kanab to visit Zion and associated scenic byways but changed our mind after reading tripadviser reviews.
Hotel is great, clean, friendly staff. Easy access off interstate, new hotel. Excellent 24 hr grocery store with great deli minutes away. Many chain restaurants within walking distance. Only drawback was we paid $120 a night which was overpriced I thought with no free breakfast.
Hotel is 50 minutes from Zion, which after three days gets long. My advice for visiting Zion would be to stay at the Best Western in Springdale, right next to park.
Another thing to beware of is the strange licensing laws in Utah - three drinks only with a meal, one per hour thereafter. They will not bring a drink to your table until you finish the one you have.
We bought liquor in Mesquite Arizona on our way to St. George from Las Vegas

“Fabulous sleeping!”

We generally prefer Marriott hotels, but the Courtyard St. George is a cut above. The staff makes the difference; they are, to a fault, friendly and efficient. The mattresses are excellent and the entire hotel is squeaky clean. Overall, an excellent choice for a good night's rest.

    • Disliked — Construction next door can be heard from rooms in the front of the hotel, back is quiet, though.
