I took my sons on a ski vacation to Killington VT. I made reservations with the wife/owner on the phone. When we arrived I upgraded to the suite room. The pull out sofa bed was broken,and the room was dirty. The location the wife told me was convenient for my young sons to walk to lift was a lie. The husband/owner gladly changed our room, but wife/owner refused to refund the extra charge for that nasty suite. She again was rude to me during my stay, when there was a problem. Beware of wife/owner. Stay at this hotel only if you are desperate.

We spent a ski week here in March 2006. We were allowed to bring our dog and leave her in the hotel room during the day while we skiied. The owner was friendly and the hot tub was nice. The breakfast was very minimal and not ready for those wanting to hit the lifts first thing in the morning. All in all, a good, inexpensive, quiet, and accomodating place. Not super clean and a bit outdated, but the best value at Killington.

Well this is close to teh Gondola in Kiloington and the hot tub and game rooms are not bad, but......

We were a party of 4 staying at teh Val Roc during President's week. The "Suite" was nothing more, then a room divided into 2 with a not so well placed wall.

The management did not answer the phone when we called in the middle of the day.

I was disappointed.

We stayed at this small motel over Feb. 10-13. We had 3 rooms, #15 - 17, and were very pleased. It is family-owned, quiet and clean. There is parking right outside the rooms, which was very convenient, and is located less than 1 minute to the Skyeship Gondola, about 5 minutes to Bear Mtn., and about 10 minutes to Killington Mtn. Rooms are spacious; ours had both a desk and a table, which was ideal for a working couple with laptops. The best recommendation I would give is that if I had to go to Killington again, I would definitely stay here.
