“Not a good stay”

So many things went wrong during this stay:

I showed up at the hotel at 4pm to check in. I was told my room would not be ready for another 30 minutes. I left to grab an early dinner & do some shopping and came back at 7. I was told my room was ready and proceeded upstairs to find that my room was not ready at all. I was given a new room, but found that my keys did not work when I got to my room. I had to go back downstairs to the lobby to get access to my room. (This happened 3 times during my 2 night stay)

The next morning I found that my hair dryer did not work. I called downstairs to the lobby numerous times to get a new dryer delivered to my room, but it did not happen. I was reassured by the front desk that it would be repaired by the time I returned in the evening, but it was not. After more calls to the lobby, it was finally replaced.

This is a decent hotel, but the service is just not there. And it begins to become very annoying after so many small things go wrong. I travel to the Burlington area once a month for business, but will not be staying in this hotel in the future.

“Don't stay here!”

Fairfield Inn Burlington Williston

Most people do not believe this but it is true! We checked into the Fairfield Inn in Williston VT (outside of Burlington) on August 16. It was bad enough that the King Size Bed sagged in the middle and that we kept hearing someone banging a guest room door all night long. It sounded like someone locked himself out.

It gets worse: The next morning we were awakened at 6 AM by the man at the front desk, knocking on our door demanding to get in our room. He said that the woman next door could not get out of her room! She was locked in. He needed to go through our room to her adjoining room to let her out!

If there was a fire and we were not in our room, I shudder to think that this woman would have perished in that room. When we complained at check -out, the rudest Manager (Marcia) refused to issue a refund and gave us an attitude. When I asked what would have happened if there was a fire, her sidekick, Nicole said she did not know. They did not express their concern for her safety nor did they offer an apology for our inconvenience.
Furthermore, they could not get their stories straight: They said that the man had to enter the woman's room to deliver her luggage. He told us it was to let her out of her room.

If you value your life and your family's, "Do Not Stay Here".

“Great stay!”

All the staff was excellent, friendly and efficient.

Room was clean, well stocked and very comfortable.

We had a problem with our toilet, they offered to move us , but we chose to have them fix it, which they did immediately.

Breakfast area was fine, the previous reveiwer has not stayed at many Fairfields as many of their breakfast areas are smaller. The continental breakfast was awesome.

Pool, outdoors, the kids were in for a while, but it was a cool cloudy day, so parents observed. It was a nice pool area, very clean.

We would stay again, no hesitation.

“Great Stay”

Our family is staying here (5/5/06) on way to a week's vacation in Montreal from Massachusetts. Booked the room pre-paid and then read the previous horrible review and got a little scared. But upon arrival was pleasantly surprised. Quite clean, friendly and courteous staff, large room in great shape, and really nothing that stands out as a problem.

While checking into this hotel I found the front desk clerk to be extremely helpful and curteous. she had suggestions on where to eat, and things to do in downtown burlington area. Brought us extra towels when we needed them and in general gave us a good feeling that we were welcomed! the room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable. we would stay there again in a heart beat!
