We just returned from a 2 night stay and had a very nice time. This was our first time at a Hilton Garden Inn and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a one bedroom, king suite with 1-1/2 baths on the 3rd floor (#325), overlooking a small pond. High Speed Internet access was provided at no charge. Furnishings were comfortable and in good condition. The staff were very nice and helpful. Had Breakfast both mornings. Cost was $8.95 pp but everthing was made to order and well worth the cost. They also served dinner but we ate downtown both nights. Hotel had an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room but we did not use them. We were just a 10 minute drive to the downtown walking mall. Highly recommend this motel.

The service was very nice. I had an issue with the washer / dryer and it was taken care of promptly. The property is pretty fresh and new, rooms very clean and easy access to the bypass around Charlottesville. It is convenient, without being in the heavy traffic areas of the town.
One thing to note, the rates have gone up significantly since I stayed, so I have switched to the Doubletree north of town. Not as nice but 40/night cheaper.

Stayed here for one night in July while visiting Charlottesville attractions (Monticello, Michie Tavern, etc.). with husband and two teens. Have stayed in one other HGI (in Ithaca, NY), and this one is even nicer. It seems new, so everything is very clean and fresh. The halls and rooms were quiet. Nicely appointed rooms with comfortable beds, great TVs. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet (not included in our rate, but very reasonable) was of high quality with lots of options. We also ate dinner at the restaurant, because after all that touring on a hot day, we were beat! We had the place to ourselves, a very pleasant and attentive waitress, and really yummy food. A very comfortable, pleasant place to stay!

The Hilton Garden Inn is a bit outside Charlottesville and the hotel restaurant, while fine for breakfast, probably isn't where you would like to have dinner in a town with as many good choices as Charlottesville. Getting into town does require a drive and a place to park the car. The rooms are fairly standard hotel rooms, but the housekeeping here is outstanding. The room was spotless and everything worked. People at the front desk were always friendly and helpful. The quality of this hotel at the price was a very pleasant surprise.
