Levanto is situated on a beautiful bay with a sandy beach, and the first town north of the Cinque Terre. Erba Persa is a delight, located a short walk from the train station and the city center. Claudio and Grazia call this small villa home, and strive to make you feel at home also. Claudio tends a beautiful garden and collects fresh eggs, while Grazia sees that you are comfortable, and are out the door on a full stomach. She rises early to set out a lovely breakfast of fresh fruits, cheese, yogurt, breads and rolls, homemade jams, cereal, and other specialty items when in season. The rooms are very clean and most have interesting antique furniture. In the gathering room there is a computer for all to use. Both speak very good English and are helpful in giving instuctions and ideas for sight-seeing. If you call Grazia she is will pick you up at the train station. Levanto is removed from the touristy atmosphere of the Cinque Terre, but just a five minute train ride away or a gorgeous 3- hour hike. Erba Persa is not fancy, just down home, an experience that makes you feel like you have moved into the small town of Levanto for a short while. Prices are very reasonable.
