Recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and was very pleased. The entire hotel, during our stay, was very clean and the service that we received was exceptional. Check in and check out was a breeze. There is a small breakfast buffet in the morning which consists of the standard muffins, bagels, yogurt, cereal and fruit. They also had eggs, sausage and "make your own" waffles. (The eggs weren't all that great, but they were circular in shape so it was easy to make a sandwich with them.) They also had hard boiled eggs. Again, some typical foods for a hotel buffet, but the best part was the cost - it was FREE!!! I was really surprised. The only negative thing that I can say about the hotel is that during the breakfast hours, the upkeep of the dining area was not great, but it was really busy during our stay so I guess they just couldn't keep up. Overall, though, it wasn't bad. It was still fairly clean.
The pool and the hot tub were very nice. I didn't get a chance to use the exercise equipment, but it was state of the art and the room was big and cool (not hot and stuffy like some that I've been in). One of the biggest exercise areas I've seen in a hotel in a long time. The business center consisted of only 1 computer which was busy quite often but the nice thing was that you had to have a room key in order to use it. The free 24 hour coffee/tea was also really great. During our stay, there were several sports teams staying at the hotel and though they could be loud in the lobby/outside, thankfully we never heard them in our room on the second floor. Our room, was big and laid out nice with a sitting area and a small fridge, microwave and personal coffee maker. Typical Marriott hotel - good service, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Another perk is that there is a Ruby Tuesdays in the same parking lot and a Denny's across the street. Not much else in the way of food in the immediate area but if you don't mind traveling, you can find other restaurants. We went to the Vriginia Zoo, on Granby Road, about 25-30 minutes away. It was nice and inexpensive (cost about $7/per person).
