We were the only people in the restaurant on a Saturday night, and by the time we had finished our meal we understood why. Very expensive and not very good food, horrible wine and a singer at the piano who was so loud you had to shout at each other to make yourselves heard - and we were at the back of the restaurant too. It's a great place to sit at the bar and have a few drinks ($10 cover charge) but not to dine. You have been warned.

My husband took me to La Galleria last Valentines Day, and what a treat! The atmosphere was classy, yet very comfortable and unpretencious. Our waiter was extremely attentitive, and made great recommendations for the wine, appetizer, and main dishes. The food was delicious, and not the tiny portions people come to expect at high end restaurants. To top the night off we both had dessert, mine a Strawberry Italian Wedding Cake and his a chocolate dessert. They were fabulous. In all we spent about $120, but it was so worth it. Probably one of the best dining experiences I've had in Norfolk, which has some classy and creative restaurants. We planning on making reservations again around Christmas.
