my partner, myself and my 4yr old granddaughter stayed at this hotel for one week (11/10/08 to 18/10/08) we found the travel agent on the teletex (fleetwood travel) after reading the reviews i booked it, we arrived just after 6 pm sat, we were quickly booked in so went straight to the room to get changed, i opened the curtains to be met with a fantastic view out over the bay with its two beaches and about one and a half miles of coastline, its obvious that there had been a storm as the waves were crashing onto the rocks sending spray 60ft ? up in the air, yet there were surfers out in the sea, we went down to get some food to find the hotel full of very ignorant spanish people, my granddaughter was pushed out of the way by an spanish lady rushing to get a table, later on i secured a table in the entertainment room for the 3 of us only to be surrounded by spanish people trying to force me off the table i refused to move so they gave up and went and did the same thing on another table, i found out this these people only use the hotel at weekends, mainly for the bingo (a weeks wages for them) so its something you have to put up with, over all its a great hotel and worth staying at, the food was ok plenty of variety and the entertainment was good, the animation team were great with kids, granddaughter got a certificate for colouring, and the cleaners came into the room every day,the town is a 5 min walk away, plenty of bars, theres one called central bar with 2 sanded play area's outside,great for kids, (thank you kirsty for your help) i would recommend this hotel and the area, this was our second visit to calas de mallorca and i would go back, a holiday is what you make it, and i make the most of it, hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

from landing at the airport to arriving at the hotel, our holiday was a joy.
thestaff were A1, the rooms were lovely, the view spectacular
"the med" everymorning from my bedroom window.
not one meal was replicated for the ten days we stayed there and every meal was delicious
i and my guests would recommend this hotel to anyone wether
on therir own or with friends.

This was our second stay at the hotel and we loved it We stayed for a week from the 4th october . We have 3 children aged 14 10 and 3 even with the different ages they all had games and competitions too keep them occupied.
l im in a wheelchair and found the staff friendly and helpful some of which were there at our last visit.
My husband and even l managed to get involved in most of the games which everyone included had a laugh.
The food was great i couldnt get enough of the breakfast and the bar snacks are made while you wait which was a new thing as last time it was all in the pizzarie.
The rooms are very clean with fresh towels everyday.
The brought in entertainment was soooooooooooo bad it was good lol, but when the entertaintment staff did the evening entertainment it was such a laugh my hubby came second in the mr muscle comp, everyone must have been drunk lol
When we go this year we will be going back to the america we all just love it .

Just arrived back from the Hotel America on monday after spending a week there, couldnt fault the room that we stayed in, very clean and spacious with a nice sea view, hotel staff we found very friendly, the pool area is really nice with plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs if u prefer them to sunlounges, the beach is only a 2 min walk and well worth going to the sea is crystal clear, food we couldnt fault theres something for everyone, on a tuesday and a friday the chef is out carving the meat which was nice, we found the entertainment not so good, bingo every night, the shops are within walking distance only a couple of minutes away, the buses run pretty frequent, we visited porto cristo and cala millor, while on the subject of cala millor if Jill and Jeff from Kent are reading this we apologise for not saying goodbye to u both, like yourselves we got stuck in cala millor, we just missed you by 5 mins. I would say yes we would visit this hotel again!
