“Had a great holiday!”

Hotel Marina Corfu

The hotel is twinned with the Skorpios, which is across the cove.

The hotels are actually in the resort of Cala Egos, a couple of km from Cala D'Or itself and seem initially to be a bit isolated. However, turning left from the Corfu reception, at the roundabout is the "train" stop and a taxi rank. Cala D'Or is about 6 Eur each way by taxi. However, if you turn right at the roundabout, there are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.

Of the two hotels, the Corfu is farther back from the sea and overlooks the entertainment area, pool, and bar areas, so is the noisier of the two. However, you have a longer walk from the Skorpios to the pool and entertainment.

The Corfu has some rooms facing the road - which is not a pleasant view. We had completed our booking before seeing the recommendations to request a seaview room, so I was very very glad when we did get a seaview room anyway. It is definitely worth making this a request! That said, you get a pool view and can only see the sea if you crane your neck a bit :-)

The cove is beautiful. However, there are jelly fish in the sea and a number of people got stung whilst we were there.

Sun beds on the beach are 4 Eur each per day. Around the pool they are free. They're locked up at night and the unlocked at 9am. However, there are loads of chairs and tables, so people tend to use these to reserve spots from about 8am, swapping them for beds at 9am. The problem is not so much the lack of beds as the lack of space, especially in high season.

There are not enough parasols. However, cheap ones can be bought from the local shops for just over 6 Eur. You can then upturn the square tables - round tables don't work; the base is different ;-) - and use them as parasol stands.

Don't try to bring the parasols home though if you fly EasyJet, unless they actually fit in the case! (If you're lucky on arrival you might meet some poor soul standing at arrivals trying to give away parasols to new arrivals rather than pay EasyJet another 18 Eur to transport them! ).

The food was excellent and we didn't see any sign of undercooked or hot food gone cold during our stay. Plenty of fruit and salad options. The restaurant could sometimes be busy but we never had to wait for a table. There was a great deal of choice - don't forget to check out the table at the end of the restaurant where they often serve roasts or other specials!

The two drinks per person limit wasn't strictly enforced, provided you didn't go stupid. The glasses are plastic anyway, and it was hilarious watching some people trying to carry all their drinks back to the table in one go. It wasn't even necessary as even at the busiest times, the queue was only a minute or two long, and staff were very strict about the queue and would refuse to serve anyone trying to push in.

Rooms were big and clean. Beds comfy, although mine squeaked a bit. Soundproofing could be better - you can hear conversations next door. Aircon was good, and very welcome as temperatures hit 36deg.

The entertainment for youngsters was good, although we did have some concerns about security for the very young (no booking in/out system and kids free to wander off).

There was a decent show most evenings. However, we got the feeling that the resident entertainers got off very lightly in the evenings, and there was little for the teenagers. The entertainment always finished by 11.30pm, and significantly earlier some evenings!! If you were lucky you'd get a couple of club dances at the end, but that was it.

The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was little in the way of bad behaviour. The resort had a good, friendly, atmosphere.

I think the early finish and lack of teenager targeted entertainment were probably our only real complaints and we felt we got superb value for money.

“Great for kids, and very relaxing.”

The Hotel is great for kids, the day & night entertainment was excellent.

There is only one problem that I can complain about
(THE FOOD), the food is cooked ok if you like cream based foods, however there is not enough choice & it’s very repetitive, even if you are only going for a week (we were there for two). If you are a fussy eater then this hotel is not for you.

Saying that we were in a large party with 6 kids all under 7 years & they had a ball, the entertainment staff are amazing, rooms are very clean & maids are there everyday.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting where you have the choice of pool side or sea side

we returned from the corfu hotel on monday the 28 th of july , we was a group of three adults and four children all under 12, i can say we all really enjoyed our stay.

we have visited many all inclusive hotels and i have to say the staff are great.

the location is very pretty you could not ask for more with the beach on your doorstep and the choice of two pools.

the hotel is kept very clean. the entertainment team also work hard keeping all the children entertained they did a disney show one evening and had children getting involved which my daughter loved and another night they did a grease show which was good all the staff put a lot of effort into what they do, i have to give a mention to simone and leona who was out there on work exp they are great girls from yorkshire like ourselves.

the resort itself is on;y small but has everything you might need
my only regret is that we only went for a week, i can honestly say we would visit again without a doubt.

We have just returned from a week in this hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. All the staff are lovely and hardworking. The reception staff are particularly helpful some of the best we have dealt with anywhere.
The rooms have everything you need for a holiday. Plenty of storage space. Air conditioning. A fridge and hairdryer and a constant supply of hot water.
There seems to be plenty of entertainment for both children and adults and although it is noisy it all stops at 11.30 at night which is very reasonable.
The main let down for us was the food. The standards of hygiene were excellent but the food which was meant to be hot was always only lukewarm even if it had come fresh out of the kitchen.

We also found it noisy on the beach with loudspeakers announcing various activities throughout the day.
We used to walk to a quieter beach down the road.
I think this is a fantastic hotel for young people and families.

“Fantastic”

Hotel Marina Corfu

Just returned from 7 nights stay at the hotel. The only negative thing about our stay was we didnt book for a 2 week.

We were recommended the hotel 2 years ago buy friends we met on another holiday - They werent wrong.

Over the last 20 years or so I have stayed in many hotels and during th last 4 years we have stayed in All inclusive hotels with our daughter (4). We have been lucky enough to have stayed in good all inclusive hotels in different resorts and this one was BY FAR THE BEST. We have come to the conclusion that we wont find a better all inclusive hotel than this.

The food was great. This is the only hotel we've stayed in which serves a full english breakfast with english bacon, black pudding. hash brown etc.

Snacks during the day fantastic too as wll as evening meals.

Childrens entertainers were amazing. Kept kids of all ages entertained all day and that included adults too.

Th hotel staff very friendly and helpfull.

On the whole this hotel is probably as good as you will get, especially on an all inclusive package. The hotel seemed to do a little xtra in every aspect of your stay.

In 23 years of going abroad I have never stayed in the same hotel twice. Always wanted to try somethink different. That will change next year as we will defo be going back there.
