We booked a weeks all inclusive holiday with jet2.com for ourselves and our young (2 and 6) family in the first week of the summer holidays.
ROOMS - We had a family room which consisted of 2 single beds, a sofa bed and a camp bed. The camp bed was rusty with loose nails, not ideal for a lively 2 year old so we had to watch our son on it all the time and make sure the frame was well cushioned with the bedding. Also we wouldn't of minded an actual double bed for us, or failing that two single beds pushed together but with double bedding made up.
The standard of the furniture in our room was very poor, it was extremely shabby looking, with ground in cup stains and cigarette marks, however on our last day we had the use of a different room to shower in after checking out and that seemed much better with nice furnture.
FOOD - We thought the standard of the restaurant food was very good. Always fresh, with a good choice and the childrens buffet was a hit with our 6 year old daughter. We were provided with an evening meal on checking in as we came in on a late flight. Our cold meat/cheese platters had been left in the restaurant for us. I thought this was a really nice touch, but our spirits were damped when we saw a couple of cockroaches scuttling across the restaurant floor. I do think this was a one off though as the restaurant, in fact the whole hotel did appear to be kept very clean. The bar food was on a different level completely, we expected the bar menu to be basic but the food was just awful. For example the cheese sandwich was two pieces of cheap, dry bread with a solitary rubbery cheese slice thrown in, my husband sampled a cheeseburger and said it was the worst burger he's ever tasted. The choice was extremely limited too.
STAFF
I would say on the whole the staff were courteous and polite. The reception were efficient and helpful with any queries. The entertainment staff were friendly and always seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves which in turn creates a good mood for the guests.
LOCATION
This is one thing you can't argue about. The cove and small beach between the two hotels is lovely with clear, calm water excellent for young children. The only thing is the beach is quite small for the amount of guests and does get quite crowded, as do the swimming pools. If you wanted a good spot on the beach or by the pool with a parasol you would have to be there very early.
All in all I would say the hotel is exactly average and when you bear in mind it's a 3 star you get what you pay for, but we felt a couple of things let it down which would easily be improved upon.
