“Beware of Cosmos Reps!”

After booking and reading the various reviews I was a bit worried about going, but went with an open mind. All in all a lot of the people here do have valid arguments and having experienced most of the same I was taking each day at a time and what an experience. Reception Staff generally unhelpful but the bar/restaurant/grounds staff were mostly helpful around the complex(s) and were clean and tidy; any mess was dealt with as a priority and quite regimented bearing in mind the volume of guests. The food selection was quite good although often under cooked and stodgy at breakfast times but good at lunch/evening times. The safety aspects inside of the hotel(s) are the worse I have ever experienced and are of great concern. I am not over dramatising but I am surprised there has not been a death. The balcony’s' have low level bars that a child can easily climb and the railings on all floors (hotel lift areas) are below hip level. The hotels are heavily marbled and more often wet creating an ice/slip effect. Just for example I ended up in hospital for two days after a fall in the downstairs lobby area in the Saturno Hotel on the day of the first England match, witnessed by many on lookers. I was well taken care of by other guests and the hotel did respond quite quickly with a call out doctor whom had me admitted due to a head injury. Within minutes of my fall a 7 year child also fell in the same area! The hotel only at this point placed caution signs.

After returning back to the hotel the staff did show compassion but the holiday Reps, Cosmos I will add ostracised me completely after they thought I had a cheek to complain. Do not expect a hospital visit but do expect unsympathetic handling by the Reps at this hotel, they were completely unhelpful and blatantly rude. I have yet to receive a response from Cosmos HQ. We travel overseas twice a year and have been to many locations around the world and the Reps have been good but this is an example of young Reps out of there depth. The disrespectful penetrating looks and blatant walk on by’s left the remaining 5 days of our holiday with tension and atmosphere which was a great shame all round…

Be duly warned in the event of an accident ~ take extra care in the hotels!

The child clubs are very good at this hotel but like a lot of people say they come at a price at this all inclusive location and large families will feel the additional outlay, although outside of the complex there is a lot to do if you do not mind the fairly short walks. However, there is a good free kid’s play area. The people we met at the hotel were fantastic with the odd miserable ones but it happens. Yes there were a lot of kids and this for us was nice to see as they enjoyed themselves. And yes sometimes they did run around but always looked out for by 95% of the parents; in fact most parents were lovely and mutually looked out for each others children, which was really nice. After all it is a family resort. The only down side were the younger chav teenagers.

The rooms at the resort had a common bond by the smell of poorly serviced air condition units in the rooms that left a really bad egg smell to greet you when walking into your room. I found that the only way to get rid of it at night times was to turn off the aircon and leave open the balcony doors (curtains closed). The room service was good but the towels and bed top sheet were only changed three times over our 11 night stay from the 6th to the 17th June 2006.

Noise levels were fine and expected and went on until late but once again it is a family resort and too be expected, you’re on holiday! One night I was awoke by some lads’ skinny dipping which was entertaining when hotel security got involved which brings be back to cleanliness; the pools are cleaned every morning without fail. All in all you will make your holiday your own and I would not rule out going back again but defiantly requesting nothing more than 4th floor rooms as safety is not good and the lifts at this complex are really bad. On this stay we were placed on the 10th (top floor) and quite a dizzy feeling to be had when on the balcony, quite high up but great views.

Entertainment in the main arena is good most nights but get there early to avoid standing all night, room is limited. The small stages near the hotel bar(s) have regular cheesy bands but good for a laugh and mingling with other guests.

Enjoy!

“Fantastic Holiday”

Can't believe the negative report I've just read about this hotel. We stayed there for 2 weeks at the end of May and 10 days into June. Two adults and two children age 7 and 12. We had a fantastic time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and always understood us. We greatly appreciated the room fairy (we called the room maid) who came in every day and tidied up and changed the beds and also changed the towels every three days which was fine. We never saw any pool ever taped off. We used the pools all the time and had a fantastic time in them. We were very impressed by the beautiful display and choices of foods to suit everyone. We couldn't understand why anyone would be unhappy with it. You could have eaten a different meal every night. The children's clubs and entertainment were also very good and gave us some time without the children. There were a few children's activities which were extra but we didn't do them, there were plenty of free things to keep them occupied. Also, we paid extra when the children went on outings with the children's club off site to go horse riding and out for a birthday party at a restaurant - which we expected to, just as we pay extra for our excursions. There were always loads of staff about clearing up and cleaning all the time - and if you happened to look out of your balcony in the early hours you would see them hosing everywhere down and cleaning the pools - they never stopped cleaning. It was a bit like Butlins in the sun, but as a family we love Butlins and so were very happy. You wouldn't go to this complex if you wanted a quiet, romantic time without children, but for families it was just perfect.

Me and my family stayed at the Hotel Jupiter from 24th June for 1 wk. was a bit dubious at first having read all of the previous reviews! got keys in a matter of minutes from getting of coach. Arrived abourt 10.30 in the evening. the food in this place is brilliant, the meals were really nice my 3 kids enjoyed every last minute of this holiday. The only downfall really was that there was not much going on for younger kids in the evening for them to get involved in we were on holiday after all.
All the staff were really nice made you feel welcome, rooms cleaned every day towels changed daily too wich i was surprised about but hey no complaints.
As this was my first experience of all Inclusive i will never go back to self catering again its nice to relax on holiday and not stress what your next meals gonna be.
My two eldest kids 11, 10 really enjoyed the Wavelength Club they need a break to .

I really don't think people have got things in perspective, reading all the previous write ups. This is a 3 star hotel, basic but clean yet great fun for the kids.

Our party of 7 adults and one 2 year old have just returned and we were pleasantly happy. Our only complaint of the Saturno (where we stayed) were the lifts, 3 lifts for 9 floors was totally inadequate. It was full to capacity and waiting for a lift with a child buggy was often a joke. The hotel staff seemed to get constant complaints so were understandably a little "off hand". Food fine for a week and plenty to do. Our room were pretty small; 2 double beds and a cot for 3 adults and my boy, but you get by!

What i would say is a comparable 3 star in Ibiza, where we were last year, was a lot cleaner in that there was no litter, and towels were changed daily, but this Hotel complex is catering for 1000+ people and it's the busy season for them.

My message is if you are a typical British "complainer" then you won't like this Hotel complex. If you appreciate you get what you pay for (i.e £320 for a week All Inclusive) then you should have no problems. Okay, so this sort of Budget did attract some "chav" and yobbo element but take a few quid spending money and go and see the Port which is much more authentic and cosmopolitan.

stayed at this hotel june 2006 for two weeks. 2 adults and 3 kids aged 13 7 an 2. it was best holiday we have ever been on. booking again for next year, which we never do, always like to try something diferent but just couldnt fault this complex one little bit. hotel very clean. staff polite. food caters for all tastes and there is food almost all day and night. entertainment on throughout day and night. pools were amazing. kids would never get bored here. there is lots to do on complex. you dont even have to go out its that good. cant believe some people have wrote bad reviews. well actually i can cause there is just no pleasing some people even if they were staying in a palace they would moan.
