Booked a suite through Medhotels, half board for 2 adults and 2 children (8,4). Two room suite with kitchen(fridge, microwave, cutlery). Large bedroom with 2 large beds and television with sofa bed in lounge. Marble bathroom with bath and large separate shower. Double balcony. quality furniture and proper "fluffy" towels. Fantastic food - no queuing - choice at breakfast and dinner is unbelievable!! For children there are about six different ice creams,sauces,biscuits etc. Food never runs out and restaurant was never crowded. The public areas are large with marble and glass everywhere. Very good for children with separate pool and playground. Do not be put off that it is a 5* - it's very child friendly. System at hotel is to charge everything and you pay when you leave - our bill for 6 nights came to £180 and that included lunch and night time drinks and ice creams. For the amount we drank this was very reasonable for a hotel of this quality. We overlapped the May half term and for the first few days there were mainly German and Spanish there but once the schools broke up there were quite a few Brits(with children). Hotel even left a note in the room telling everyone not to reserve sunbeds with towels! Would definitely go again.

Expectations were modest and this was our first trip to Mallorca but we got a lovely surprise at the Hotel de Muro. It is a large new hotel made in glass and granite and right on the shore just to the east of Alcudia. The rooms are all suites and are immaculately clean and very spacious. I have stayed in hotel rooms smaller than the lobby in our suite! Most suites have balconies but only the largest overlook the sea directly. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was very good and prices were very reasonable and no more than eating out so taking lunch by the pool each day was fine. We ate in the restaurant one night and the quality is good but it is buffet style (on a large scale ) which we cant cope with for more than one night. Much better idea is to go B&B. Breakfasts are a fantastic spread , best I have ever seen.

This is a quiet hotel , mainly frequented by germans , mostly couples of various ages so if you are looking for nightlife dont go there.

Facilities especially the outdoor pool is gorgeous and its one of these places that just has loads of capacity so even though it was full there were ample loungers, chairs and in fact it felt half empty in that respect. There is a gym and beauty spa/treatments.

There were just few minuses and they were minor: we arrived at 1130pm in the evening and there was no room service or any other food available except for a packet of crisps behind the bar, we do find this amazing in such an up market hotel. Thy gym is in the basement and although the equipment is ok there is no aircon! how on earth anyone stands it in summer I cannot imagine. Also there is no free water supply in the gym which is annoying.

Overall though I would highly recommend the hotel de Muro to anyone who wants a quiet . luxury chill out with very attentive staff, good quality food and reasonable prices. We will return.

I know its hard to find a good hotel with very young children so we were very happy to find this one.
Most of the rooms in the hotel are huge suites with separate bedroom and a living with a kitchenette. The childrenspool is right next to the playyard en the playyard is right next to the beach. The restaurant served great breakfast and dinner.
You don't really have to go anywhere else if you like to relax and have everything at hand. We stayed the last two weeks of june, the only bummer was the last day where the hotel decided to have life entertainment outside next to the pool.
A big mistake because you cannot escape it if you wanted to, great beach for small children!
