Last year we went to Disneyland Paris and the kids have not stopped taking about it since, that was until we got to the Viva sunrise, they no longer want to return to France, They've made it clear that they would much rather go back to viva sunrise. And So would we.... by the way bufo is the hotel mascott. the kids fell in love with him
Just returned from a weeks stay at the Viva sunrise, we chose it because of the ratings on trip advisor, and it exceeded all our expectations, I booked direct over the phone and the guy I dealt with (Gunthar) could not have been more helpful. We arrived just in time for diner and to see the "show" I can not begin to explain just how much the kids enjoyed this, and the adult entertainment was just as good,
The kids pool with the water slides are where we spent the whole week , and as for the resort itself, well, I can't really say much about it as the kids just didn't want to leave the hotel, and after one evening with two sad faces down at the port, (which was beautiful) we were happy to give in and stay put for the rest of the week as it meant we got some peace ant the kids were happier than I have ever seen them, I got to read 4 books during the course of the week and all while the kids were awake! with practically no interruptions, sheer Bliss. the kids pool and playground area is VERY safe as its fenced in on three sides so if you position yourself on a sun bed near the entrance area the kids can't go anywhere
We had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool & stage area, there were advantages and disadvantages to this, when the show was on you could watch it from the balcony, very handy when the younger child fell asleep early, the older one didn't miss out even though we went home early, however if you want to have an early night you should really request to be put on the other side of the hotel overlooking the canal. the rooms wouldn't win any interior design awards but they were equiped with everything you need and they were spotless. There was no kettle but when we asked at reception for one we were given one at no extra fee, a microwave was available to hire @ 25 euro per week.
We booked direct and flew with ryan air and booked a transfer from the airport with jannerbus all in all we saved about 1’000euro compared to the travel agents price for the very same week.
There is a laundry room down beside the kids pool which was very handy and its free!
The food at the poolside bar is very nice, with a quite a good selection and price wise was quite reasonable. and the croissants in the supermarket were made fresh all day long Yummmmy...
This hotel could honestly not have been any better, if you have children of any age they will LOVE it and so will you.
