“Brilliant!!!”

We have just come home from a week at the Viva Sunrise, we travelled there with 3 teenagers aged 17, 16, &14, I had high expectations as i had read all the reviews prior to going and all said the hotel was excellent and i have to say they were all correct, it exceeded our expectations! The first thing that struck me was how immaculately clean the hotel is, everywhere is sparkling, our 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with two double bedrooms and a full size single bed in the lounge area, the kitchen area had a fridge and two cooker rings which would have been difficult to prepare a meal as such but because we had opted for half board this didnt bother us as all we really used the kitchen for was making drinks. The breakfast buffet was excellent with full english breakfasts being served everday along with cereals, toast, cold meats and cheeses and our favourite pancakes with various toppings. the evening buffet was rather more limited if you have fussy eaters, they usually had a fish dish, a meat dish, some type of pasta, chips, boiled potatoes, various salads and a childrens special which was something like breaded chicken although on one occasion is was squid in romany sauce which didnt go down well with my lot, although every evening all of us managed to find something to eat! the hotel also has a cafeteria which does very reasonable lunches which were lovely so there is really no need to go anywhere else.
The entertainment at this hotel is absolutely excellent, i cannot praise the team enough for all the hard work they put in, its brilliant for children, teenagers and adults, they cater for everyone, during the day there was various activities going on for all ages, from t-shirt painting for the little ones to football for the teenagers and waterpolo for the adults, my lot didnt want to leave the hotel for fear of missing one of the activities! the evening entertainment was just as good with some brilliant shows like moulin rouge, chicago etc being shown and games which involved audience participation, the little ones were well catered for too with the hotal mascot 'Bufo' and the party dances and games.
The pool area was spotlessly clean and there was ample sunbeds for everyone, also a special childrens pool that had various slides etc in it and a play area for the kids too, along with an all weather pitch.
The beach was approx a 10 minute walk away but was worth the effort, with soft sand and various activites like pedaloes, banana boat, jet skis etc it made a nice day out, although beware it can work out expensive.
We visited the waterpark which was a 5 minute drive from the hotel also, it cost us 93e entrance but was quite a good day out with lots of slides etc to keep the kids amused, although here also worked out abit expensive as there was other things like trampolines that they charged extra for and the food in there was quite expensive so i would recommend taking a picnic with you.
All in all we had a fantastic week, i cant fault the hotel or staff atall, it is rated a 3 star but its one of the best i have been too, i would give it 4 stars personally, i think anyone travelling here will enjoy their holiday.

I have just recently come back from an amazing holiday in Majorca, stayed at the Viva Sunrise and it must be one of the best hotels i have stayed in in a very long time. Its extreamly clean and the cleaners are up very early cleaning, cleaning places you wouldn't even imagine they would clean! The entertainment and entertainers are briliant, they make you feel so welcome and there is always something going on. The night time shows are very good indeed, they sometimes have professional groups performing or it could be themselves putting on a show. They always involve the audience and keep them well entertained, they're very good with children and keep them occupied all day and at night with the shows if you wanted a rest bite =) The hotel is well located, just a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, which is appsolutely outstanding, just like you would find at the carribean, white soft sand and clear sea thats still very shallow 300 yards out! It is also near all the bars, shops and resturants if you didnt always want to eat in the hotel, even though the food is outstandingly good for its money.
I really enjoyed the holiday and i would definately 100% consider coming back to Viva Sunrise in the near future... top marks in my book!

Just on our last couple of days at the Viva sunrise and have found it to be of a very good standard. The hotel and itsa grounds are very good and well loked after . There are three pools with plenty of sun loungers about. One of the pools is tucked away on its own and is ideal for toddlers. It has small slide and is very shallow. It has its own sun longers around it for all the family to enjoy.
THe hotel has a good sized bar with very friendly staff. The bars also sells various meals and snacks at reasonable prices so there is no need to leave the hotel for lunch. If you wish to there are plenty of bars and resturants just out side. The beach is about five minutes walk away and is very good with soft almost white sand and clear water.
The rooms in the hotel are fine very clean but maybe a little dated. All in all a great hotel with great staff

“move over Mickey mouse....make room for Bufo..”

Viva Sunrise

Last year we went to Disneyland Paris and the kids have not stopped taking about it since, that was until we got to the Viva sunrise, they no longer want to return to France, They've made it clear that they would much rather go back to viva sunrise. And So would we.... by the way bufo is the hotel mascott. the kids fell in love with him
Just returned from a weeks stay at the Viva sunrise, we chose it because of the ratings on trip advisor, and it exceeded all our expectations, I booked direct over the phone and the guy I dealt with (Gunthar) could not have been more helpful. We arrived just in time for diner and to see the "show" I can not begin to explain just how much the kids enjoyed this, and the adult entertainment was just as good,
The kids pool with the water slides are where we spent the whole week , and as for the resort itself, well, I can't really say much about it as the kids just didn't want to leave the hotel, and after one evening with two sad faces down at the port, (which was beautiful) we were happy to give in and stay put for the rest of the week as it meant we got some peace ant the kids were happier than I have ever seen them, I got to read 4 books during the course of the week and all while the kids were awake! with practically no interruptions, sheer Bliss. the kids pool and playground area is VERY safe as its fenced in on three sides so if you position yourself on a sun bed near the entrance area the kids can't go anywhere
We had a 1 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool & stage area, there were advantages and disadvantages to this, when the show was on you could watch it from the balcony, very handy when the younger child fell asleep early, the older one didn't miss out even though we went home early, however if you want to have an early night you should really request to be put on the other side of the hotel overlooking the canal. the rooms wouldn't win any interior design awards but they were equiped with everything you need and they were spotless. There was no kettle but when we asked at reception for one we were given one at no extra fee, a microwave was available to hire @ 25 euro per week.
We booked direct and flew with ryan air and booked a transfer from the airport with jannerbus all in all we saved about 1’000euro compared to the travel agents price for the very same week.
There is a laundry room down beside the kids pool which was very handy and its free!
The food at the poolside bar is very nice, with a quite a good selection and price wise was quite reasonable. and the croissants in the supermarket were made fresh all day long Yummmmy...
This hotel could honestly not have been any better, if you have children of any age they will LOVE it and so will you.

“Best Family Holiday Ever”

Viva Sunrise

To get straight to the point, the Viva Sunrise is simply a fantastic hotel. My wife and I along with our two children, ages 3 and 6, have just returned from Viva Sunrise and have had a fantastic time – we will be going back.

The rooms, reception area and grounds are spotlessly clean; the maid cleans the room and changes the towels five days a week. Worth a note is that the rooms are air conditioned which is lovely after and hard day sitting in the sun.

The best part about this hotel however is the entertainment. The staff work tirelessly to make sure everyone is happy. The children loved the T-shirt paining and kids club. Every evening there is a Mini disco with the hotels guest of honour - BUFO. He is a green space dog and gets the kids dancing and singing. Then it’s the main evening entertainment with is actually not too bad.

We went Bed and Breakfast which was quite a good deal. The breakfast buffet was very good; the kids especially loved the pancakes covered in chocolate sauce. We ate out most nights but the hotel evening buffet was surprisingly good and was also not too expensive. At €20 each including half a bottle of wine, (a full bottle for the two of us), it was possible to get happily full.

The beach is a ten minute walk away and is clean and soft. The sea is warm and shallow for some distance which ideal for younger children. However, the pool area is just so good we spent most of our time there. There are three pools in total which cater for children (and grown ups) of all ages and abilities.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with a young family. The only mystery is why it is only a 3 star – it is at least 4.
