We have just come home from a week at the Viva Sunrise, we travelled there with 3 teenagers aged 17, 16, &14, I had high expectations as i had read all the reviews prior to going and all said the hotel was excellent and i have to say they were all correct, it exceeded our expectations! The first thing that struck me was how immaculately clean the hotel is, everywhere is sparkling, our 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious with two double bedrooms and a full size single bed in the lounge area, the kitchen area had a fridge and two cooker rings which would have been difficult to prepare a meal as such but because we had opted for half board this didnt bother us as all we really used the kitchen for was making drinks. The breakfast buffet was excellent with full english breakfasts being served everday along with cereals, toast, cold meats and cheeses and our favourite pancakes with various toppings. the evening buffet was rather more limited if you have fussy eaters, they usually had a fish dish, a meat dish, some type of pasta, chips, boiled potatoes, various salads and a childrens special which was something like breaded chicken although on one occasion is was squid in romany sauce which didnt go down well with my lot, although every evening all of us managed to find something to eat! the hotel also has a cafeteria which does very reasonable lunches which were lovely so there is really no need to go anywhere else.
The entertainment at this hotel is absolutely excellent, i cannot praise the team enough for all the hard work they put in, its brilliant for children, teenagers and adults, they cater for everyone, during the day there was various activities going on for all ages, from t-shirt painting for the little ones to football for the teenagers and waterpolo for the adults, my lot didnt want to leave the hotel for fear of missing one of the activities! the evening entertainment was just as good with some brilliant shows like moulin rouge, chicago etc being shown and games which involved audience participation, the little ones were well catered for too with the hotal mascot 'Bufo' and the party dances and games.
The pool area was spotlessly clean and there was ample sunbeds for everyone, also a special childrens pool that had various slides etc in it and a play area for the kids too, along with an all weather pitch.
The beach was approx a 10 minute walk away but was worth the effort, with soft sand and various activites like pedaloes, banana boat, jet skis etc it made a nice day out, although beware it can work out expensive.
We visited the waterpark which was a 5 minute drive from the hotel also, it cost us 93e entrance but was quite a good day out with lots of slides etc to keep the kids amused, although here also worked out abit expensive as there was other things like trampolines that they charged extra for and the food in there was quite expensive so i would recommend taking a picnic with you.
All in all we had a fantastic week, i cant fault the hotel or staff atall, it is rated a 3 star but its one of the best i have been too, i would give it 4 stars personally, i think anyone travelling here will enjoy their holiday.
