Having just returned from Alcudia (our 10th year) we would just like to tell you about our experience this year. We took a trip to the Old Town this year (not on market day coz its very busy) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We visited the old chapel and took some wonderful pics and we took a walk around the "walls". The streets were very picteresque with beautiful cafes, restaurants and shops. The taxi cost 10 euro return. A very enjoyable experience. We also took a trip on a glass bottomed boat and enjoyed it immensely. The boat sailed right up beside the rocks to allow the passengers to look into the old caves and the scenery was amazing. At one point when the boat had stopped the passengers were allowed to jump in. The boat took us to the beach at Formentor, which was beautiful and everyone was allowed about an hour's sunbathing. The return trip back to the resort was hilarious coz 2 boats raced. All-in-all a lovely day. We spent every day on the beautiful beach, with warm shallow waters and fish swimming around our ankles. We visited the waterpark (which we do every year) and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. I know there's loads of other stuff to do on the island but we like to stay within walking distance as such coz our kids don't like travelling. Anyway, who needs to get back on a coach when everything we need is within walking distance. We took a walk along the beach to the port and thoroughly enjoyed the dander. Such beautiful surroundings. All-in-all another great holiday in Alcudia!!!
