A superb village having no "British Pub" with a superb coastline and port area. The Tryp Port is a good hotel, very clean with excellent sevice and food. We did have evening entertainment however I assume this is only available in high season.

I would recommend this to anyone who has older children or couples.

Just returned from our third stay in the Tryp and have to say it really doesn't dissapoint, staff superb, food excellent, the rooms are spacious with TV and mini bar, the hotel is more of a business hotel than a family holiday hotel ,having no evening entertainment and the pool area being mainly quiet all day every day (water a bit cold as sun only gets on the pool around 11.00am)
Cambrils itself is an adorable unspoilt fishing village... we ventured into Salou by bus but very quickly returned as it wasn't for us!!!.

Cafe Jiovani is a must in the evenings for a mix of really cool music and an atmosphere second to none, his Mojito's are fantastic although not cheap, nearby 'Pasta e Basta' italian restuarant is top quality and welcoming for all.

We will definatley return to the resort and if the hotel keeps offering such good value for money will more than likely stay again.

stayed 4th -8th june booked through flyglobespan flight was to barcelona so 2hrs on bus to get there was to long however we will go back to cambrils as it was the best place so far that we have been to on main land spain, and will fly into reus airport next time. hotel room was fab had air/con and a mini bar tv. bathroom was lovely maids keeped the place spotless everyday clean towels,pool area was big plenty of beds but the pool its self was freezing but saying that the weather was only in the 20/25s each day,we went h/b and i found the food was not the best that i have had in a 4 star hotel not that i starved i could get something every night. reception staff good at there job very helpful, now onto cambrils the place is just beautiful full of lovley shops and tapas bars restaurants, if you like to just chill out this is the place.

I stayed in the hotel at around the same time as the last reviewer and while agreeing that the bar was not "staffed" during the day there was always a pleasant young man there in the evening. Yes the time I was there the weather was poor, in fact one Sunday the bar was totally packed with all sorts of guests during the day as the rain prevented any excursions for most of the day. Staff could always be summoned by ringing the bell - maybe the previous reviewer expected instantanious service - I had no complaints!
I do get fed up of "Brits" abroad moaning about the lack of English spoken! Make an effort, learn some words and you will find "the natives" friendly and communicative!
The hotel was great and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.
