We attended a wedding reception and stayed overnight. The wedding meal was excellent, with exceptionally good service at table.
The staff were all very friendly, and helpful - for instance, when we asked at reception for extra towels, someone insisted on coming straight away to provide them.
The pool was shut when we were there.
The room was welll decorated and had all amenities. Looked like it had been recently refurbished.
Breakfast was excellent - good selection of fresh hot food.
I would definately recommend the hotel - comfortable, friendly, and a good 'quality' feel to the place.

I recently organised a conference at The Royal Chace Hotel. In the morning of the conference, we were told that they did not have a projecter that worked but offered us a projector which had a 'slightly purple tinge.' Luckily one of my colleagues had brought one with them so the conference could continue. I would not recommend the BBQ as it is pretty pricey for what you get. Overall, we would re book.

Both my partner had our office Christmas parties at the Royal Chace. The hotel is very nice with pleasant surroundings and a nice atmosphere. However be aware if expecting quality food if you are booking for a large party. There was little choice and the main course arrived undercooked. A number of guests from my partners party suffered the next day with stomach problems.

Bad food spoils a nice hotel.

bit disapointing. booked the room months in advance and was sent letter of confirmation. on arrival they wanted to charge £10 extra for no reason, which i refused to pay as i had the written booking cofirmation with me (my friend were not so lucky). On my insistance the receptionist consulted her colleague who was unhelpful and i asked to speak to the duty manager who did charge me the price i had been given in writing.
The room was okay but a little on the small side for the amount that it costs. the outdoor pool was only opened at 3pm. breakfast however was lovely with a wide range of hot and cold food.
