We went with our friends to London and we couldn’t find a hotel near the city center on these dates. We stayed for five nights at Cranbrook Hotel because the price was ok and we thought it was near of the public transport.
When we finally found the hotel after a long walk from the tube (later we discovered a bus line) the staff was very nice and helpful. For a moment we thought that the hotel would be ok. When we entered the room we found a room in the street level and if you didn’t want someone entering in the room you needed to have the windows closed (remember it was 15 of august). Also in the middle of the wall between our room and the breakfast restaurant was an emergency door. Because of this, at 7 o`clock in the morning it was nearly impossible to sleep.
In the bathroom floor there was a dark humidity stain and when you used the toilet it seemed to broken. Also the door was broken and we couldn’t open and close it properly. My friend got her ankle twisted and they were very helpful giving us ice and offering help to go to the hospital. But the third day of our stay we saw ROACHES in our room and also in the corridors of the hotel. We tried to change to another hotel but It was impossible.
It was revolting and disgusting and I think that in my whole life I hadn’t stay in such an unhygienic hotel. The rest of the days I couldn’t sleep well and of course I couldn’t have breakfast in such a place. I don’t recommend this hotel to nobody because I don’t know who gave to them the category of three stars but I’m quite sure that it can’t be called a hotel. The only thing that I have to say it’s that the staff was the only thing passable.
