I thought that the hotel was very clean and tidy, as i did not expect this after reading the previous reviews i was very shocked and could easily say that to me they all sound very un true.

The breakfast variety was very good and you could have as much as you wanted.

I stayed on a sunday night and the hotel was very quiet although the staff were very helpful, friendly, kind and lively especially the dinner staff that night who worked at a high standered and food was very propt.

If you stay keep an eye out for Danielle & Richard who made my stay very pleasant & enjoyable

If you are looking for a more lively night there are pubs with a night club and restaurants five minutes away in a little village called Frodsham

Stayed here just one night in a superior room with dinner, b&b.

Not sure what the standard rooms are like if this was superior, its worrying. For £144 was poor value although room was clean it was old and outdated and the aircon didnt work properly.

Food was average in quality but overpriced although staff were generally polite and helpful. Restaurant was freezing ! There appears to be no heating.

Was charged twice for dinner but eventually got that sorted out but they dont seem to be well organised and seemed to blame me for their backroom problems.

Hotel could do with a refit as it is very tired but okay for the odd night but only if you get a good deal.

It is hard to know where to start, the hotel is outdated and grotty looking before you have even entered. The room smelt dirty and damp and I found that the net curtains were covered in Mould and Mildew. The rooms are small and cramped, the bathroom tiny and again didn't smell very clean, there were several lightbulbs not working which made it even more dingy. Things go worse the following morning ( Sunday ) the maid gave a knock at the door at 8.30 then came straight in without waiting for an answer, I did wonder whether it was really neccesary so early on a Sunday morning. This prompted me to get up and head for the breakfast room. Now bear in mind that they charge £12.00 for breakfast, I was gobsmacked to say the least, what I found would have been a disgrace if it was the canteen at the local ASDA, a very poor selection of cereals, and the most rancid horrible bacon, sausages etc. there was quite a long queue and some items had run out, but none of the staff were in a hurry. then my attempts to get some coffee were studiously ignored, I had to run after the Waitress and what came was the worst coffee I have ever tasted, and cold, so I asked for tea and waited 10 minutes before being presented with a mug of hot water and a tea bag.

I was glad to leave, but surprised and shocked that such hotels can carry on like this

Better than i was expecting because of previous reviews but it was lovely! Nice Clean Spacious Rooms. Quite Attractive Hotel & it was in a nice little part of the town with some lovely little houses, a great place for a nice walk! Bar was ok & food was average but it was well worth the money paid & it was a friendly place! Would stay here again!
