The place itself is not bad, but don't be surprised when your credit card is charged an extra amount of money once you leave. I really didn't have a problem with the price, room, or owners until about a week after I got home and found that I was charged $50 extra for a cleaning fee. They stated that the towels were dirty and shelves dusty. I thought this was interesting that I was expected to dust the room and do the laundry, especially when you can't use their laundry facilities. Just be aware that they try to scam as much money from you as possible. It has been 4 months and I am still battling with the credit card company over this unauthorized transaction.

I highly recommend Casa Ensenada. The location is perfect, right by Dewey, walking distance to the restaurants, bakeries, groceries, airport and car rentals. The taxis (publicos) can be hailed from in front of the house. We stayed at their Estudio which had a futon and a kind-sized bed. The place was clean, the kitchen appliances, pots & pans, dishes and glasses (water goblets) were all new. They provide you with beach towels, a cooler and even toys that you can take to the beaches. You are also given access to a kayak. My only complaint is that they need to replace the shower head.

On the phone the owners were very nice. We had some issues because the owners were not actually at the property, they were in MN. At first the price seems quite high for what you get, however, when you find out how much property costs on the island it's not that bad.
If you stay here, stay only when the owners are there. They had a book in the room where guests write their experiences, which was really cute. The problem for us was that the owners were not at the property so our experience was a little disappointing.
Pros: Location, beautiful view and convience, the little kitchen has everything you really need
Cons: The toilet was broken (from the book in the room it seems that the toilet has been broken for a long time), the kayak dirty, you are on your own when the owners are away, twin beds that are pushed together aren't too comfortable
We had to use our cell phones to call for assistance, because there was no one at the property. extra cost and you must have a cell phone AT&T works, however not all cell phones work on the island.
From what I read in the room from the other guests, I really want to go back when the owners are present.
The property is in a great location, if you're in shape you can walk almost everywhere you want to go. It's close to town, but not right in town so you don't get all the noise or construction.
