Casa Ensenada is the type of place you want to stay in when traveling to a small place like Culebra. It is inexpensive and the place is very clean and comfortable. If you are looking for something lux- this isn't it. I am not sure where one would stay if you wanted a 5 star experience.
What you will find are two very friendly hosts, Jackie and Butch who own the property, a great location, and a nice and simple place to stay.
We rented the Pequeno room and it had everything we were wanted- comfy bed, air conditioning, a nice shower, a kitchenete with a small fridge. There was also parking across the street.
You are within walking distance to Dewey the only town in Culebra- make sure to have dinner at Mamacita's and Dinghy Docks both have great food and excellent service. Check out Flamenco beach and for a quieter beach go to Zoni which is also amazing.
This island has chickens and roosters running around, old ladies that sit outside their porch, 1950's island architecture- wait until you see those colors- the blues and pinks are incredible- so it is a bit "rustic" for some. If that is you- you might just want to come in for the day.
Ask Jackie for some pointers about Culebra- she is happy to share her experiences with you. Culebra is one of the most charming places I have ever seen and Butch and Jackie make you feel like you are visiting relatives in their clean and comfortable guesthouse.
