We stayed at this hotel only because we missed a connecting flight. The airlines paid for the room so I am not sure about the cost. The hotel was very nice, the rooms were large and very clean. Beds were large and there was a flat screen TV in the room. I would highly recommend this hotel if you can get it at a decent price (at least for the DC area:)!)

As a 200+ night/year hotel guest, I usually opt for the Hilton Brands. However, the Sheraton gives us a nice company rate, so I chose the Sheraton Reston this trip. I will be back - at least to this property.

When I checked in, I made a point to tell the very nice guy (Solomon) at the front desk my Hilton preference...to which he responded by upgrading me to a suite. As he put it, "I will do my best to make you into a loyal Sheraton guest!" THAT is the attitude I like! That alone is a reason for me to come back.

I have to say, the room (220) was great. The amenities were excellent, the bed was very comfortable (memory foam type bed)... but a couple of things about the place seemed odd in a nice hotel like this - the cheap towels, the horrible shower arrangement and the odd room layout. None are show stoppers... however, they are worth mentioning.

Oh, the breakfast buffet was excellent as well... and rather cheap by DC standards!

I might not give up the Hilton just yet, but this property is giving me ample motivation to give Sheraton a try!

This hotel, along with many others in the Reston area are significantly overpriced to the point of almost price collusion. With that said, the hotel is decent in all aspects. It has a nice lobby, nice bar & restaurant, good fitness center and pools, and good rooms. Nothing to write home about, but fine for business trips if you aren't paying out of your own pocket for the exorbinant cost of a room in a suburban hotel.

Traveling on business, I thought this was going to be a typical "business hotel".
Wrong ! The staff is impeccable. Incredibly friendly - smiles and laughs and thank you's everywhere. Staff waiting by the double doors when you enter asking if I needed anything.
As soon as there was more than one person on line at the front desk someone appeared out of nowhere to wait on the next person.

The food at the hotels restaurant - Syrah - PERFECTION. I can't stress how good these meals were, and I had three dinners there. I was able to travel to other places to eat , but i went back to Syrah every night ! Not overpriced and world class taste (the black sea bass was to die for). Waitress/Waiter felt like my mom was serving me !

Club level room (a free upgrade by the way) offered free soda, yogurt, juice, water bottles); newspaper at my door each morning; used one drop of lotion and another bottle appeared the next day. Small things like that keep guests returning; free Starbucks in the room.

Free internet in the lobby's "business center".
"Sir" , "thank you" and "you're welcome"'s at every turn.

I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the DC or Reston VA area.
