We stayed here for one night. Check inn was a breeze, the room was clean with a good air conditioner, the pool was nice, the staff helpfull and the breakfast was good. What more could you ask for?

The Holiday Inn Express a great place to stay. Rooms were clean. Double beds, desk area. Bathroom is on the smaller side although very clean.
Hotel has outside pool. They have no exercise room but give you acess to the YMCA directly across the street.
The breakfast bar they give offer has alot of things to offer including fresh fruit. Which by the way, always at the front desk was a basket of apples during the day and at times cookies. (which by the way were excellent!)
This hotel is right off the higway but you can hear no noise from it.
For the money it was well worth it and I highly recomend it.

This Holiday Inn Express was very nice-clean rooms, good (free)breakfast and a very reasonable price. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies were an added bonus! We also enjoyed that it was within walking distance to downtown Roanoke.

After spending 1 night @ Holiday Inn -Tanglewood(see reprt for that facility), we really liked the HIE Civic Center. We first met Regina & Alex at the front desk our first day, and they were both pleasant, and helpful. WE arrived early the next morning, and Crystal was most friendly,and got us a room to leave our things, so we could go do the tourist thing. Great room,super breakfast,near downtown(5 minutes), small but nice pool and plenty of chairs and lounges. Definitely a better value than the HIA mentioned above. Will stay here on our next trip to visit. By the way, don't miss the Link museum next to the visitors center. It's photographs of steam engine trains and local people are worth several hours. Also, find the NY Deli restaurant (2 miles from the hotel) for great deli food. Also, the international food court in the square has some good lunch choices. The hotel is clean the staff friendly and helpful, and value for a local hotel this is the best choice.
