I picked the lowest rating only because there wasn't a choice that went into the negatives. The rooms looked like they belonged to a 3rd world country brothel at best. When I exchanged the linens myself (they were unwashed and full of cigarette burns), I noticed my mattress had several stains-from what I hope I never know. The toilet in my room was not attached properly to the floor and every time I used it I had to balance just right to keep from spilling its contents all over the floor...not that anyone could have noticed anyway. Each employee only seemed capable of displaying contempt toward customers. I booked a non-smoking room and some how wound up with an ashtray and a wonderful hacking cough every morning. To top it all off, the coat rack came out of the wall and almost smacked my wife. When I asked the manager if he could put me in another room he threatened to kick me out all together. After checking out early (who in their right mind wouldn't have), the manager refused to refund me. He said he'd rather go to court than refund me the money for the nights I didn't stay. I'm a service member who was in Virginia Beach for training and the manager couldn't find it within himself to treat me or my shipmates with integrity, let alone respect. Please take my advice when I say you'd be better off sleeping under your car in a gocery store parking lot than this poor excuse for a hotel.
