Don't even stop the car! Got in room turned around and left! This is what horror movies are based on! Musty smell, big ugly stains, mold mildew! Should have known when cleaning staff came running out of room holding thier noses and gagging! Just do yourself a favor spend a few more bucks and keep driving!

I stayed at the Days Inn On Virginia Beach Blvd. My room had a musty odor to it and the floors looked dirty. They have a pool outside that looked unkept. The Days Inn needs to do something about this place. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You can find a really nice hotel by the water for the prices they charge to stay.

On 5/25/02 I stayed at the Days Inn located at 4600 Bonney RD. Upon arrival the manager Amin quoted us for a two day stay of $129.99 plus tax. I signed a slip with an arival date of 5/25 and a deperature date of 5/27. The price came to $147.42 We arrived at our room at 3:00 am. The room was somewhat clean except for some stains on the floor and a busted bathroom door that would not close.(The bed was clean) When we woke up in the morning the people a few doors down were sitting outside and had their dog running in the parking lot. Pets are allowed to stay in the rooms from what I saw. I went in to get breakfast. The doughnuts were not covered. The cereal was in plastic containers which were not covered and had some flies around it. Dog feces was scrapped on the walkway off someone's shoe. The next day we checked out. I was handed a second bill with a price of doubled what we were quoted. I aksed to speak with Amin and he told us the rate of 129.99 was per night. I could have gotten a room by the ocean for that price. We argued with him about his misrepresentation of the rates and he was not willing to budge. I called the Days Inn corporate office and they were of no help. All they do is send back an email stating that the location is independetly owned and they will forward my complaint to the manager. I was willing to pay the $147.42 but an almost $300 dollar bill for two nights is ridiculous. If you are looking to get ripped off and like sleeping in unclean conditions this place is for you !
