My recent stay there was amazing! It started a little rough. Upon checking in the bellhop dropped my labtop, but the General Manager there Stacy Patrick could not do enough to make things right. Not only did there fix my labtop, they comped me an upgrade to an amazing room. They immediately called Stacy at home, and she was so apologitic. When I tell you they could not do enough for me. I knew when I walked into the lobby that I would enjoy my stay there. I feel like I made friends there. I cant wait to go back and see everyone.

I was forced to stay here on a business trip. The place looks like it was built in the 50's or 60's and hasn't been updated since then.

The rooms are old and dark. The heating / AC does not work well. The hallways are dingy. The workout room has ancient equipment that you use at your own risk of serious injury.

Don't go, even if you have to.

“Great place to party during the season”

Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center

We were having a weekend get-away/ "research, do we really want to move here," trip & decided to pick our 2nd hotel after we'd stayed the 1st night in-town. Bad idea, as there wasn't much left to be had.
Unless you're looking for a place to party (yes, I am talking about a keg-party/ hanging out at the beach time) then choose somewhere else. The rooms were partially updated w/ questionable carpet, so I wouldn't have been worried about a mess, but overall the room was in serious need of cleaning/updating. Also, we had NO hot water in our room in the AM!!! When we mentioned this to the front desk at check out we were expecting some sort of compensation, but nothing was offered. Humph.

“VERY Happy with the Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center”

Virginia Beach Resort Hotel and Conference Center

Every year I spend the weekend at a local hotel with my children so my husband can have his friends over for a poker night. This hotel was perfect...it's on the bay, has an indoor heated pool and jacuzzi (which my kids loved), room service was friendly, good and the prices were great, parking is a breeze, and the rooms are extra clean and GIGANTIC. I called ahead to see if they had movies or DVD players, which they did not, so I brought my laptop and the kids were able to watch a movie and eat popcorn that I popped in the microwave. I'll stay there again next year!

“sad shadow of it's former self”

Where to start...this was a nice property years ago...however they have not updated in years. the rooms were worn and tired, as was the carpet. The sofa looked too dirty to sit on and the balcony was all stained and there was two dirty plastic chairs on it stacked up. Our room was not cleaned either evening when we returned to the room, we had to report it to the desk every evening, then wait for it to be cleaned. We even spoke to one of the housekeepers and told her we were leaving for the day and the room still wasn't cleaned. The front desk could have cared less, but they did get someone to clean the room each time. We reported the poor water pressure in the shower and that was never taken care of. When I complained about the stay during checkout, the clerk just said oh I'm sorry..never made any notes or addressed anything I told her. She simply handed me my receipt and a slip of paper asking me to write a review on tripadvisor. If the hotel is busy, the parking is tight..on the plus side of the hotel, your room will have a seperate sitting room and the view of the Chesapeake Bay...
